Vad folk säger
Spacious bathroom, nicely decorated suite with comfortable furniture. Location. Well equipped kitchenette. Friendly, attentive staff. Obvious attention to detail. Impressed by staff reaction when I mentioned three minor problems (hotel handyman overheard and introduced himself as the person who would be fixing it - wanted to know more about where to find it.) All in all, this was exactly the experience we wanted for the 2 days we had in San Francisco, and we would definitely return to this inn. alla recensioner »
The hotel was really nice and clean, the staf was very friendly - they allowed us ti check in already at noon without being alerted beforehand. The breakfast is simple but fine, the afternoon tea and sherry enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and furnished with taste, the beds are comfortable. this was a pleasant experience. The location is very good, near the Union square and the Grace cathedral, with many options to dine around.
I always wanted to stay in a Hitchcockian home in San Francisco. Nob Hill Inn fullfilled the dream - the Edwardian manor is very well kept, historical and a little spooky like I wanted. Loved the bathroom wih the clawfoot tub and stained glass window. The room was very clean and comfortable and a great value. I would recommend it to anyone searching for an offbeat place to stay in SF!.
The friendliness and helpfulness of all staff, the entry ways and salon
arrangements, and the old elevator. Also, close enough to Union Square
and other places.
Having a chance to visit with other travelers. The tea and sherry are a great idea although we only were able to take it in once since we were out and about at that time on other days.
Lovely staff. Well located away from the dodgy areas like Tenderloin and very few to none homeless venture up that way, unlike the rest of the city which is swarming in homelessness. Just a stones throw away from both cable car routes and a 10 minute walk to union square. Despite its homeless problems, the city is beautiful.
Location was good, nice old world charm. Reasonably quiet room with generous bathroom and excellent shower. Really liked the sit-down breakfasts rather than the usual 'grab as much as you can' buffets at other places. The tea and sherry looked nice, though we never sampled it as we were out and about at that time of day.
The staff were just wonderful: friendly, helpful, efficient. The entire design of the Art Nouveau-themed inn is a visual delight, just beautiful.
The breakfast is a generous continental breakfast with many choices, including fresh fruit, juice, a pastry, coffee.
Great service!!! Special thanks to Tali who went out of her way to help. Clean bathroom which is a big deal for me. Wifi signal was a bit weak but I noticed it was excellent on my laptop, weak on my phone. Maybe worth checking your device first.
Loved the location and the overall comfort and quaint setting. The staff went above and beyond for suggestion on places to go and eat. Helped with a few logistics for our Marathon.
Very quaint, old-school vibe with very clean and modern bed, bathroom. The elevator was cool. The breakfast was enjoyable and served with a smile. Good value. Great location.
The location was great and close to most attractions.
Tolly was amazing and she made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was compact but very nice.
We love the old world charm and Victorian-style interior decor. The
location of the Inn is also excellent - 2 blocks to cable car and within
walking distance to Chinatown.
Spacious room with kitchen facilities, friendly staff, free wi-fi access in the room, relaxed nature of a small hotel. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.
Great price for the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Unique and affordable place to stay while in San Fransisco. My wife
loved the hotel.
I loved the staff- they felt like family and I was sad to leave!! Best place I have ever stayed for business- a welcome difference from hotel chains.
Stayed in a beautiful suite - lots of privacy and very comfortable. The afternoon tea, morning breakfast, and helpful staff were all terrific.
The historic building is beautifully maintained and decorated. The staffers we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Love the elevator!.
Excellent staff except one gentleman was rude and aloof. Quite the opposite of the remaining staff. Room was nicely designed and decorated.
Location, location, location - it is right across the street from our daughter's apartment :) And centrally located as well!.
we had a warm welcome. The place is nicely decorated, very clean, and we felt at home. A cosy place we recommend highly.
no complaints. older facility but they make it quite appealing. choosing the correct room might make a big difference.
Cozy old S.F. ( hotel),Sights, restaurants, fisherman's wharf, Muir woods, Sausalito, China Town, Golden Gate Bridge.
Liked the staff, the breakfast, afternoon tea & sherry.
Room was beautiful old San Francisco.
Great location.
My favorate hotel in the two weeks journey to USA.
Romantic decoration. Cute elevator. Beautiful living room.
Hotel location and neighborhood
Hotel style and little touch as afternoon tea/sherry served for hotel guests.
Perfect location, very close to the city center.
Very friendly staff.
Big room with an amazing bathroom!.
The decor and ambience, that afternoon tea was offered, the peaceful location and great views.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is charming and location is convenient.
Just the friendliest staff and fantastic location..couldn't have a asked for a nicer place.
Large rooms with separate living and the sherry and tea in the evening was a lovely touch.
Perfectly located
Very nice-british (old ) fashion
Quite (on the side street at least).
most of our stay was very pleasurable, had to sit in a lovely lounge to relax.
The room was beautiful, but you can walk to everything or take cable car.
The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. Great location.
the room was lovely, very quaint, nice to have windows that opened.
friendly staff, décor, good sized rooms(had the Stanford jr suite).
Cozy
Very friendly staff
Breakfast was included
Atmosphere
Clean.
Great place to stay. Take your breakfast in the neighbourhood.
the service in the morning.
the antic style of the house.
Stuff are friendly.
The room is small but confortable.
the antiques and decor
junior suite was convenient.
reception and staff..
rooms very "charming".
Edwardian Furniture.
Olde Worlde feel.
Friendly, great value, great location.
Antique furniture,classic set up.
reasonable price and comfortable.
Staff and style of the rooms.
Overall, very comfortable.
Breakfast. Quaintness.
Very quaint and small.
Small stain on underside of comforter. Previous guest's trash in the kitchen waste bin (under the sink, so easy to overlook.) A bolt on the armoire protruded with a sharp edge.
Everything was fine.
Spotty WiFi.
Not enough counter or shelf to hold things needed in bathroom while
putting on makeup or shaving. No hand-holds to get in and out of tub. We
are both older and that was a bit scary for us. Liked the tub, however.
There is another Nob Hill Inn and one taxi driver tried to take us there. It looked like a regular motel, not the one we were in which had good character and charm.
For the money, they could provide breakfast included but charge $2.50 per item which is quite the sum when you're having a begal and orange juice, needless to say we are breakfast elsewhere.
The room (11) was too small. Rearranging the room (rotate the bed 90 degrees onto the end wall), providing 2 bedside cabinets (with drawers) and providing more space for suitcases to be placed open would help. Perhaps the TV could be wall mounted and the chest of drawers removed, to make more space.
My only dislike is those hills!!! We wound up taking buses to avoid hiking up these. They are extremely steep.
The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked.
Being scolded for walking down the stairs too loudly.
The room didn't have air con which wasn't too much of an issue during our stay.
The room was more suited to a shorter stay rather than a week.
The suite in which we stayed has multiple flights of stairs which were
challenging for luggages esp for "seniors" like us.
Just minor things - .the free breakfast was a bit limited, dining and transport options in the immediate area were not easy to find - hotel staff could help by providing a guide to the restaurants, supermarkets, delis, laundries and bus/streetcar routes.
Breakfast was a little skimpy.
Parking...but there's little they can do about that!.
Internet and TV reception were sporadic in our room.
Walking the hills.
Nothing.
no gluten free option for breakfast.
The room was very dark because there were not many lamps and the windows faced a building. Also, the furniture was very old-fashioned and the colors of the walls were too dark.
The general aspect of the room felt like a gloomy grandmother's house.
I did not like the breakfast, not enough food. And why do they toast (almost burn) their croissants? This is a sin!.
Breakfast could be more generous....wasn't very satisfying.
The hotel was nice and quiet, but street noise was loud.
Nothing I did not like.
Limited choice for breakfast/same everyday
No safe in the room.
our room only had 1 chair and very small room, could not relax, food good but limited,.
I understand the elevator is part of the decor, however, it was very slow.
Nothing, will happily book again if I am in SF.
too little room in bathroom to "spread out"
cable kept cutting out
did smell just a bit musty at first.
Nothing, it was great!.
the pull out sofa bed was uncomfortable
there was no movement of air - became stuffy - no air conditioner
towels were not absorbant.
poor WiFi...they say they will fix at year end
no in room safe.
Very simple breakfast menu - chose to eat else where.
Temperature was very warm in the room. Too much street noise with the window open.
Noise from the street coming through the room window. The windows are double-paned but not that effective at blocking noise.
We would have liked the mattress to have been more firm.
Little noisy in the street outside my windows althought that didn't bother me all that much.
Room we had was a little tight.
