the staff were very friendly and ALWAYS said aloha every time they passed. The pool and gym were wonderful and we used them every day. I liked having the Kings and Queens market close by as we had a choice of eating establishments. the beach was protected and great for water sports. Down the beach was the Lava Lava Bar - we ate their quite a few

The beach was very nice. Our room would have been perfect if we'd
had a full ocean view instead of a partial because of a tree.
The gym is nice and clean.
The concierge was helpful but be warned, it is run by Expedia so no Kama'aina rates.
The nearby markets were convenient and a good option if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Several good restaurants as well as a food court are available.

It's an older resort but that is not a problem at all. Fabulous
resort facilities, very clean and comfortable room (partial ocean view)
with great service. You can't swim in the ocean directly from the
hotel but it is such a dramatic location as the resort is positioned

Beautiful location, spent the most of my time at the resort because it was so beautiful and relaxing. Amazing pool to sit back with a Mai Tai and watch the sunset. Watched the manta rays feeding and ate delicious 'spider shrimp' at Rays on the Bay. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again myself

The view from the ocean side rooms was spectacular. The check in staff (Wendy) did a great job checking us in with a long line, she was very friendly and helpful. Very helpful owner, on site. Provided recommendations for places to eat, beaches to go to, other adventures. Also made sure he was around to say goodbye when we left. Far enough from Hilo, but close enough to get there in 20 minutes. Comfortable living spaces. Pool was open and available any time, even if we were to come home late from dinner
