  The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and clean. I had forgotten that our room had a full mini- kitchen (refrigerator, stove, sink, microwave) so that was a nice surprise when we walked in. The pool was heated and the hotel provided pool towels. Breakfast was very good and the sweet lady making the waffle was wonderful! Was worried about the street noise, but did not hear it at all and our room as only metres away. Friend forgot his reading glasses and the hotel called as soon as they were found.

  When we checked in Angela at the front desk was so very helpful. Because we are in our 80's she was offering us a room on the first floor so we would not have to worry with elevators but we chose to be higher so we could use the balcony and watch the ocean.   Everything was amazing. Housekeeping was good! There was a pool (indoor and outside) a hot tub, a lazy river a bar, and it's right on the beach. Perfect stay. My fiancé and I have already discussed our stay next summer and we are choosing best western again.   I was in town for a wedding and did not arrive until later in the day and left the next. I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy it.   This is a great hotel and the room was awesome. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in at a hotel. The hot breakfast was wonderful. The location was close to the airport, with a free shuttle, and it wasn't very far from all the sites. It was a bit more family oriented than we expected for a "girls trip" but nonetheless, it was a beautiful, clean, peaceful vacation spot. It was beautifully appointed, each bedroom had a luxury ensuite bath. There were 3 balconies - each BR had balcony access.   This is a refurbished fort. The building is fascinating. The atrium where the rooms are is open and beautiful. Our room was typical Embassy Suite. The hotel is on the same block as Rue 99, Coast and Virginia's on King, three great restaurants.   The suite was roomy and well laid out. The front desk had a packet of materials about the area prepared for us for our arrival. The breakfast room was cheery and well laid out. The choices for breakfast were great. Even though the hotel is not in the historic sector, their shuttle service renders that practically null.
