  Location and price. Accommodations were ok. Not fancy but comfortable. Room large, bath tiny,mattress comfortable, tv new. Staff very nice. Across from abc store and room had fridge so didn't have to go out for expensive breakfasts. Restaurant "in" hotel had a delicious salad. Safe to walk at night. The pictures online did not do the hotel justice. I originally did not pick because it looked somewhat shady but when I arrived to HNL and saw what it looked like. I booked a reservation.

  We absolutely loved our stay at Polynesian Plaza! Rooms are nice& definately adequate despite negative reviews! Excellent value for money and in the perfect location for shopping in town. The room we had included a mini kitchenette (2 stove tops, microwave, toaster, fridge etc) and also has a lovely pool which we spent a lot of time at and th... vad folk säger » e beach is just a 5min walk away. The room also has air conditioning to cool the room which was great, without this, we wouldn't have been able to st - My stay at the Polynesian Plaza was wonderful. I wasn't expecting a lot as I was looking for accommodation at a reasonable price. The location was perfect, the staff was excellent and the room was fine. Especially the rooms facing Kalakaua Ave with the balcony as we got a brilliant view of the Halloween festivities on our last night their. I certainly recommend the Polynesian Plaza to anyone seeking something along the lines of what I have highlighted in this review.

  Handy location for shopping and being near a larger supermarket, with the kitchnette, we could prepare meals in the room rather than eat out each night. Rooms were reasonable - nothing flash but definitely value for money. Free internet was awesome and not included in many other places we checked out. Close to decent restaurants which were less touristy because the hotel is away from the main areas. - Room was clean and had partial view out to the water. Price was reasonable. Location was within easy walk to Ala Moana shopping centre. Kitchenette was also very handy allowing a night at home cooking.

  Location great, and the restaurants and shops on the ground floor were a plus - the Creme Pot is charming and convenient for breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly, went out of their way to be accommodating. Great view of the city from upper floors. - The staff is Excellent! : ) I keep coming. : )

  Great location - bus stop literally round the corner, beach a short walk away and restaurants and shops everywhere. Staff were helpful and friendly; pool fine; decent-sized lobby for meeting up in; rooms were spacious and clean. There were 14 of us with 7 teenagers travelling as a group and it suited us perfectly. Nice and close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Even though Waikiki goes on all night and there is all kinds of night life, the hotel was quiet.   Kuhio Banyan is right in the middle of Waikiki just two blocks from fabulous beaches & walking distance to the Honolulu Zoo, restaurants, shops, and superettes. Kindly staff and simple kitchenettes make this an easy place to stay. Everyone went out of their way to help with anything I needed or any questions I asked. I had had lots of people tell me there was no pool and I told them I didn't care.   The cleanliness of our room and efficiency of the maid services were excellent. Comfort and size of room was excellent however the sofa bed was slightly unstable. Plenty of extra sheets, lightweight blankets and mattress were available. Maids would not only vacuum every second day, they also washed and dried all towels for us. Overall l - Simple, clean. Unit needs updating but it is sufficient. Nice to have the washer/dryer as I worked out alot and it was great being able to wash clothes. A half block away is the running path along the canal which was excellent. The building is very secure and you have free parking which is key in Waikiki as this can be very expensive. There are plenty of markets and coffee shops around and the beach is 3 blocks away. If you don't rent a car the buses all stop just around the corner and you can
