  Room was comfortable. I asked for a down pillow and instead of foam (I woul and it was immediately brought to my room. I would suggest having both types of pillows in the room or a note telling visitors down pillows are available upon request. The hair dryer in the room was broken but the concierge desk immediately brught me a replacement. I was ... vad folk säger » impressed by the staff's responsiveness to my requests. - We were absolutely thrilled with the hotel and the staff. Very friendly, helpful, courteous, and polite. Our room was wonderful, with very, very comfortable beds. The location so close to downtown was a huge plus, with us not needing to take our car out at all.   When I called to let them know I'd arrive late, call was answered promptly, Lisa identified herself by name and I was assured it was no problem (and it wasn't a problem - she left that message at the desk as she said she would.) Breakfast was wonderful (did eat by the fireplace) and every staff person was so accommodating and friendly. We needed the Customer Service as we had left something in the room.   I really like how friendly and helpful the staff is. Fast check in, indeed they have my room key ready when I got to the hotel, almost like just waiting for me. Room is big and comfortable. - The proximity to the Portland Airport, which is the reason we chose this location. The room was also very clean.

  We really like they accomodated getting us on their shuttle van to the Cross Center for the Hank Concert. My fiance tried purchasing movies in rm 105, and for some reason it would not allow us to, so in order to make up for it, they gave us breakfast vouchers. Clean and well maintained. The only negative is that the restaurant closed at 9 pm and room service closed at 10 pm. We were at an area event and didn't get back until 11 pm.   A completely awesome experience. The room was enormous, with a huge bathroom. There is also a theater room (great for watching football games), multiple lounges, and an incredible reading nook on the third floor. The nightly rate might appear expensive, but this is actually a good value. - Superb accommodations and a lovely edifice!

  I was in Maine for a service for my dad who'd passed away. The sound of the waves crashing rhythmically on the shore was very soothing for me. I appreciate that the Anchorage is open year 'round and has someone at the desk 24-7 even in winter. Also that your off-season rates are reasonable. Thank you!
