The Ivy Lodge itself was elegant and clean. Upon entering it felt like I
was walking into my inviting and ornate home of my dreams. Fresh flowers
decorating the tables every day, candy set out by the entrence. My room
had all the eccessories to make it comfortable, including a fireplace,
flat screen tv with dvd player, and a cozy chair to relax in. The
bathroom had extra supplies just incase we forgot something. The
breakfast was more than I expected. Anything I could imagine to eat was

Darlene was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and offered some great ideas for what to do, where to shop, where to eat, and where the locals go for fun. The Lodge offered discounted tickets to the Mansions and passes to the art museum. The breakfasts were fantastic, and it was nice to chat with the other guests during breakfast to hear what they were doing during their stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Ivy Lodge.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable with plenty of sitting areas inside and out on the wraparound porch. My wife and I had a truly relaxing stay and we will definitely be back again. I highly recommend Ivy Lodge!.
From the time I booked the room Daryl could not have been more helpful.I was surprising my girlfriend with a romantic get away. Daryl upon my request procured a dozen roses and a bottle of Champagne which he placed in our room prior to arrival. The food was excellent. This is my B&B when we return. *****.
The staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating. The location is on a quiet street and within walking distance to the cliff walk, town and the mansions. The house is beautiful with a great porch for relaxing in the afternoon!.

Fabulous location from which to walk around and see the sights of Newport; very well-run and friendly small inn with lovely surroundings inside and out. Would definitely go back.

very comfortable and the food was delicious.
First class professional in all respects.
Charming and historic. Great location,.
The room was absolutely beautiful.
ambience.
where it was located. Pretty bedroom and historic nature.
When we first arrived we were thrilled. The inn is beautiful in a
wonderful are.
The rooms are on the second or third floor. Somewhat taxing on an older
individual but not to inconvenient. The lodge is very old and in some
places it smelt slightly musty walking through the hallways. Other than
that I certainly can not complain. It was worth every hard earned penny.
having to leave so soon...
Nothing.
It could be challenging to get heavy cases up to the third floor which was the case for us. However the owner carried them up for us. We could only carry one at a time coming down.
Having to leave.
Absolutely nothing.
Nothing to do with the Inn but the difficulty in finding a parking
place in town.
Nothing.
Overpriced. Owner seemed distant. Breakfast on first day poor.
Nothing to dislike.
Nothing.
I liked everything will definitely stay again!.
Surly female owner. The strong unpleasant sweet smell that pervaded the entry? living? dining and all linen. It was all too over whelming and unpleasant.
There was no water pressure in the shower and we could not get any cold
water. Only scalding hot shower water. The bathroom and room were to
small. The front door was left open all night. We did not feel safe.
On you second night at the inn we noticed what looked like old blood on
our sheets. We immediately asked the inn keepers to change our sheets
which they did. The second night we found the same type of stain on our
sheets in different spots. We again called our inn keepers. They promply
asked "what we were trying to pull" and accused us of leaving
the stain ourselves. They did change the sheets but were quite nasty.
Even the next day they were still very nasty.
