Price was right, The clerk was very nice. I checked out late, and was not charged. CLEAN...except we found a large piece of someones hair weave under the bed...yulk...When are modest price motels going to get better cable TV stations... I liked the location. Comfortable. It was inexpensive and not totally out of the way from everything we wanted to do. There was a lot of parking and it wasn't crowded. Room was spacious, and we weren't bothered with noise.
alla recensioner » The heater/cooler in the room worked well. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. Wifi worked well. Not much. It was ok. The room was clean. Close to beaches. The price. Nothing. The staff was rude and barely said a word,the place was run-down, the tv had 3 working stations. The shower barely squirted out water, the sheets were damp, the mattress was hard, the furniture was old, and the building not well maintained. nothing... not much. Nothing. Nothing. AC Filter needed cleaning. The first two rooms we were given had no working phone lines. The third room had no refrigerator and no TV remote, but I was so tired of moving to different rooms that I just accepted it. The staff were very languid about getting me room, and it took more than 90 minutes to finally get a room. Price; $280.00 tax included. There was an awful smell to the room, like mildew covered up with bad bathroom deodorizer. Only had two towels in our room. There was hair in the bathroom and bed from the last guests. The breakfast was only an hour long (8:45-9:45) and very selective. Staff wasn't really welcoming. The door edge and frame were rusty and if not for an inside bolt lock, would have felt insecure. There was construction on the hotel going on during our stay including in the AM. TV reception was fair. Not much food at 'Continental breakfast'. All that area is still doing some rebuilding from the Sandy storm, but we thing this construction was hotel refurbishment. No hair dryer in room. Carpet wasn't vacuumed - there were crumbs in different areas on the floor. For the hour I was there I would've appreciated an hourly rate. It wasn't easy to find. The hotel is under repair from hurricane Sandy so I can understand some of the problems. One major problem was ants. The bathroom sink was loaded with ants and the cleaning person did not clean the bathrooms or vacume. They just changed sheets and towels. There was an assortment of bugs crawling around the room. The white towels were stained. The bed was uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. over powering air freshener which couldn't quite over power the bad smell. Requested for non-smoking room and it is SMOKING room! The carpet is filthy. Cont'l breakfast - what a joke! Only bagels n' bread served - selections r butter and jelly. No napkins!. we booked a non smoking room, we got a smoking one with an awful smell. The room was dirty, holes in the wall etc... the worst thing: we found used condoms in the stairs.... feared for my life, The door to my room looked like it was pried open at one time. Everything. The room, grounds, bldg, location!!!. Nobody was in the office when we checked in and we had to wait 10 minutes while ringing the bell and trying to call the desk. The room had grime in every corner and the shower curtain was barely connected to the wall. Never figured out how to turn the TV on, the remote certainly didn't work.
