  The reception guy was really friendly and gave us some good recommendations about what to see, where to eat and how to get around. The neighborhood isn't nearly as bad as other reviews (& satellite photos on Google Maps) led us to be - Great hotel with internal parking (at any time, even in the night).   This very low profile hotel is the best kept secret in hollywood. At first sight it doesn't seem to be the best choice. Yet in my opinion it is. I've been around la for a while in the various neighborhoods and in many different hotels. And the "Super 8" without the slightest of doubt was the best offer quality-pricewise. I could see the "HOLLYWOOD... vad folk säger » " sign right out my window as well as the huge houses perched in the hollywood hills.The bed was perfectly comfortable and had inmaculate linnens. In - In fact, this is a good price in relation to the quality. In the Neighbourhood, it might be the best (I've been in most budget hotels in Hollywood). Free Parking en centrally located. Wifi is strong en good enough to watch Netflix ;-) Breakfast is ok, enough choise and it's free!

  I loved this place. The girl was old and out-dated, but I didn't hold it against her. Because she was built to last. And the current owners keep her impeccably clean and well-maintained. The internal courtyard with pool, Jacuzzi and beautiful garden were just magical. It lent a real spa-like oasis-type feel to the place. It was nice to have a mini fridge in the room in which I stored groceries and drinks I'd bought at Ralphs located two minutes away (by foot). Only 2 dollars to use the washing machine.
