  I liked the views of the lake...they were exquisite. The room was large and comfortable including a minibar and a little kitchenette (sink only). The closet was spacious and the shower head had good pressure. The whole bathroom was really nice. Also, I like the fact that as a guest I have full access to the exercise and locker room facilities.   The breakfast was the best! We particularly liked that hot chocolate,coffee, and fruit was available at all times. The lobby was a nice place to relax. All the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. The location was excellent for shopping.   The location to downtown Chicago, for a fraction of the cost of other hotels, is what interested me the most about the Chinatown Hotel. Tons of restaurants in the area, and the front desk clerk even recommended a couple favorites. The subway entrance in Chinatown was not accessible at the time of our stay, but even a cab ride to the downtown area ... vad folk säger » was very reasonable (especially with the large group I was travelling with, riding the subway would've cost about the same). There is a parking garage - This is the most budget-conscious lodging you can get in Chicago without going the hostel-with-shared-bathroom route.
