Well located in the heart of Fishermans Wharf. Within a stones throw away from cable car choices. We particularly enjoyed the large sized rooms and the "sinking" feeling you get with their beds. The location - the street car and cable car and bus stops were all less than 1 block from the hotel.
The staff was very cordial and helpful.
Edward the concierge was knowledgeable and eager to assist.

As expected with Marriott hotels, it was clean, the staff very helpful and mattress was very comfortable!
The valet parking was very expensive but worth it to just get out of your car and hand over the keys.
Unfortunately, I lost my car claim ticket. Fortunately, they gave me a newer car when it was returned so that worked out well!

We stayed with 7 mo old in Double room, and it was quiet tiny. There is no much space to place crib - maybe King room is more comfortable in that case. But armchair was great for nursing.
Beside that we liked everything in that hotel, especially location. Location could not be better.

The pleasant manner of the house keeping ladies. They have been working at hotel for years, and seem to take great pride in there jobs. They give the impression that they are most gratified to see there guests being well taken care of. Similarly, at breakfast and at wine hour, the staff seemed genuinely happy and that sets the tone for guest relaxation.

Rooms were very comfortable and clean; I was a little nervous upon arriving and seeing how old the place is, but it became very clear that they are constantly upgrading (brand new Kohler bathroom fixtures) - nothing is too old or outdated. The history and design of the building.
Gorgeous. The bedroom was lovely and the bed and bedding was extremely comfortable. Amenities in the bathroom were very nice quality as well
Carpet needs cleaning or needs to be replaced.
I loved the jazz band in the restaurant and the bartenders were very gracious and the service was terrific. -
