  From the minute we pulled into the car port we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff that were not pushy in anyway. All they wanted to do was help us unload our luggage, park the car and point us in the right direction and once inside the front desk staff took over on the helpful, friendly atmosphere. The hotel was nice, walking distance to Soldier Feild. I compared rates with another large booking company, and letsbookhotel.com was cheaper. I will definately book through them again!

  The location to downtown Chicago, for a fraction of the cost of other hotels, is what interested me the most about the Chinatown Hotel. Tons of restaurants in the area, and the front desk clerk even recommended a couple favorites. The subway entrance in Chinatown was not accessible at the time of our stay, but even a cab ride to the downtown area ... vad folk säger » was very reasonable (especially with the large group I was travelling with, riding the subway would've cost about the same). There is a parking garage - This is the most budget-conscious lodging you can get in Chicago without going the hostel-with-shared-bathroom route.   I liked the fact that it's the oldest operating hotel in the country & there is lots of history there. The design is elaborate & like a palace.   I appreciated the lovely living room with free access to internet and hot beverages!! I also liked the cold filtered water!!   The staff asked my name when I got out of the taxi and then at every stage as I was passed between concierge to reception to bell hop I was greeted by name.   The hotel lies in the middle of the down town in a fairly safe area near to almost all of the attractions of the city and within a walking distance from the blue line subway which goes directly to the airport.   Staff is freindly and accurately listen your question and try to help you, even when you bad know English. Pizzeria is quite nice! Hotel's rooms are clean and have everything is needed (except refrigerator, but it's normally). And in general they are big and comfortable. And of course, location is very nice! CTA metro station is in several steps (... vad folk säger » way to airport), bus to Navy Pier is quite near, Sears Tower is viewed from the window, and Museum Campus, Grand Park and Michigan avenue in 15 minute - The friendliness and courtesy of staff. And the parking! It was wonderfully priced to have the car so accessible for our meetings off site. I also must say that though modestly appointed, it was very clean and the linens were in excellent condition.
