  We loved everything about this hotel. The location is ideal. The staff seem to genuinely love their jobs and it shows in their outstanding commitment to guest service. The rooms are whisper quiet.   The staff was by far the best I have encountered my for years living here. Professional, dedicated, polite, they felt like a family and they made me and my girlfriend feel very welcome and connected. The room was perfect, the bag handler even showed us a private tour of our room and how to use many of its features.   The Modern is a fantastic place to stay. This was our second trip there and we loved every minute.   When we arrived at approx 7.30am and found out check in wasn't until 3pm, we couldn't have been treated better, they told us to head up to the full buffet breakfast and to enjoy all of it on them, they gave us pool towels so we could use the pool or head to waikiki beach, they looked after all our luggage,and although we had to wait to almost 3pm ... vad folk säger » for our room it was definitely worth the wait, our room was on the top floor with a absolutely fantastic view. Couldn't fault the customer service we - We stayed in an ocean view suite on the 21st floor. We actually had a view of the ocean and the mountains from our room which was really nice. The rooms were updated and very clean and the staff was very helpful. The location was convenient to everything!!! We were a block away from the beach, and the Beach walk shopping area was right downstairs from the hotel. There was plenty to do in the area and we did not need a car. I would definitely stay here again.

  Loved my stay at the Coconut Waikiki! This hotel is such a great deal for Waikiki and the location is perfect - right on the canal so a little quieter than being right on the main strip. Decor looks just like the hotel photos - fresh and modern. Very comfy beds, was sad to leave them. All the reviews about the canal side being noisy are accurate -... vad folk säger » if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs, but the air conditioning unit helps cancel out the sound at night. Go for a mountain view room for sure. S - I loved the cute decour, the room was well kept and clean. I know that people have made comments about the continental breakfast and so I was prepared for the worst but I honestly thought it was good. There may not be a lot of choice but it got me through the morning. Also considering that there was a kichenette in my room, I could always buy breakfast goods if I wanted more. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and I would stay here again. Close to lots of shopping and the beach. Eve
