  The website photos were identical to what Cottages looked like upon arrival. It is deceiving from the road. Have driven past it for years and will never do that again! Staff was so friendly. The s'mores at night were so reminiscent of camp fire days!! The breakfast was plentiful and very nice. The grounds, the pool, the cottages, the guests, ... vad folk säger » the staff...complete package and will go back and back and back. It felt very comfortable and meeting other guests and listening to everyone's stories - Gwen greeted us upon our arrival and she is a true gem. She quickly made us feel at home and provided spot-on suggestions for the best wineries and day trips. Being a local, she also shared some interesting history of the area. The Cottages were very clean and quaint - the perfect romantic getaway. A truly beautiful area surrounded by redwoods along the scenic Russian River.   My fiance and I stayed here the weekend of August 23rd while we were in Guernville for a friends wedding. The place is tucked away in a little nook just off the highway. Surrounded by gorgeous tall redwoods. We felt like we were driving up to a chalet in Switzerland. We were greeted by Brett and Yulia, the owners, and their delightful little girl.... vad folk säger » They were extremely nice and accommodating. Brett showed us to our room, which was this cozy spot upstairs. The room was practically brand new. Fre - The Rio Nido Lodge is in the middle of the Sonoma area wineries. Restaurants in Guerneville are excellent. Very laid-back atmosphere in the Russian River area! Can easily access Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Healdsburg, and other larger cities. Hosts Brett and Yulia Gibbs are adorable--- extremely attentive and hospitable. Wonderful free breakfasts! Very comfortable beds. The rooms are immaculate and fresh. They obviously have their hearts and souls into making their lodge a "destination!"
