This hotel was absolutely amazing. First, the staff was way more than helpful. I called and bothered him since early morning because we were driving from South Dakota and we were afraid we might not arrive on time to check in and he was extremely gracious to offer us directions and accommodate us in anyway he could. Second, we booked two rooms at regular price and we expected a regular room at a small hotel like this one. Then we arrived and opened the room and wow, it was like a vacation resor.
alla recensioner » The unit was spacious and spotlessly clean. Everything was well maintained and the host thoughtfully provided for our needs (coffee and tea available in the kitchen, nice toiletries in the bathroom, free wifi, DirecTv, etc,). Having a kitchen was convenient. Laundry facilities were available--also very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very quiet. We saw elk all around us. This was a wonderful place to stay! One of the cleanest, neatest place we have ever stayed. Would highly. Like they said was remodeled old motel. Had kitchen living room dining room & bedroom. basically apartment. Not fancy our room overlooked street but mountain view we had was so good that we didn't notice, across street from post Office & grocery store. Gardiner is a one street town with a lot of traffic but it was perfect for visiting North part of Yellowstone, which is what we did. The rooms are equal to a small independent house. Everything you need is in your house. The walls are double insulated and we had a family next to us and did not hear a sound in the three nights we were there. We used this hotel to see all of Yellowstone Park...good restaurants and everyone friendly. Easy parking, wildlife right on property and clean and up to date. We loved our stay!. Great location, close to North enterance of Yellowstone (5 min. by car) Lamar Valley (1 hour and 15 min. by car) and grocerystore across the road. Very comfortable and luxurious room including a complete kitchen (great coffee!)! Huge flatscreen tv, beautiful bedroom and bathroom. And best feature of all, every evening the Deer are literally on your doorstep. We really enjoyed our stay!. The location of the Inn, friendliness of the staff and cleanliness were excellent. The value was also very good as the layout of the space was really like a suite. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well laid out, toiletries were very good quality. Great views when you stepped out of your unit. All excellent. Very comfortable and clean. Went out of their way to make sure all was to our liking. Presented bedding options for our children. This is the first motel that has ever provided height appropriate (i.e. low profile) pillows for kids. Exactly what we needed. Would stay again. The staff are extremely friendly! Its super clean! Looks like a cabin from outside, but I've never enjoyed a cabin like this one. They are usually dirty and small. It's also very spacious. 2 bed suite is perfect for my family. We all loved it very much!. The staff member in the office was extremely polite and helpful and there were several accommodations that were unexpected but terrific. I would highly recommend the Yellowstone Gateway Inn and plan on staying there during my next Yellowstone visit. Everything from check-in to check-out. Decor was most pleasing and view of mountains,as promised, was spectacular especially watching sun strike the tops of the mountains as it rose behind us. The staff was great! Michael was extremely helping in answering all of our questions about Gardiner and Yellowstone, and the many activities to do in the area. Our place was clean, comfortable, and stylish! I will be back here for sure. Newly renovated. Had a 2 bedroom suite which could easily and comfortably slept 8 (2 pull out sofa beds). Very spacious. Fully stocked kitchen. One king and one queen bed, all new furnishings. Clean and comfy - ideal for a large group. Loved everything about it, especially the tea selection and beautiful kitchen equipment...wish we could have stayed longer! We loved the location to the Yellowstone National Park. Also loved that it had a kitchen with it. We were able to start each morning with a hot breakfast before exploring the sites. Terrific, spacious recently renovated apt-like immediately outside the park in charming Gardiner. A GREAT choice outside of Mammoth Hot Springs. Well-equipped, clean apartment. We called to say we would arrive late and somebody waited for an hour after they normally close the office in order to check us in. There should be a TV in the bedroom, at least a small one to accompany the large one located in the "living room" area. Wish the rate is lower :p. Nothing. One suggestion would be a "grab-rail" in the shower/bath to give older travellers, or disabled people more confidence. The king had a TV in the room but the queen didn't. The bed was a bit too soft. Bit noisy behind our unit. This was obviously an apartment-to-inn conversion, and was fairly well done. They are a bit funky, with the old living room having a queen bed instead of a seating area. For extra guests, a pull-out or futon would be more appropriate than the fixed queen, which was a bit odd. Would have liked it better if there would have been a safe. Did not like that we had to carry all our money with us where ever we went. nothing that I can think of. No negative points. Not having enough time to spend in Gardiner!. It was all good. No complaints at all. nothing. No view. We were in an ADA room that had a walk-in shower. I did not like how the water seeped out of the shower area and got onto the floor. No matter how you tried to keep the shower curtain closed, it continued to wet the floor. I continued to have to dry the floor and put down extra towels so as to not get the floor so wet. I also did not like that there was no shelf in the shower area to keep your shampoo and wash cloth accessible. We had to use the top of the toilet for this purpose. Can't think of anything. without breakfast. Would have liked to have a TV in the bedroom. Tub would not hold water - no soaking or taking a bath! Faulty drain plug. bed was a little soft & it was hard to turn the A/C down to a comfortable level. Nothing!. musty odor.
