  From the outside, the hotel looks more motel but what a surprise on the inside! We got upgraded to a cottage which was fantastic - lots of space, a patio and a great place to relax and spend the night. It's a drive to Carmel itself, but it isn't a huge problem and there are shops across the street (but the street is a busy highway). There was a po... vad folk säger » ol but we didn't get to use it as only stayed one night en route to Yosemite. An excellent place to stay - would highly recommend. - Spacious room with a few nice extras such as a candle, tea towel, corkscrew, tea bags, real glasses and cups. Fridge, microwave and a pleasant privatevarea to sit outside. Supermarket over the road. Short drive into Carmel and Point Lobos. Two chairs and a dining table. All good. Carmel is a lovely place. If you are wondering about whether to stay in Carmel or Monterey, forget Monterey - just pay a visit.
