The staff were very friendly , welcoming and always ready to help. The location , set in woods and hills above Lake Windermere , is fantastic. lounge which we were able to use (but didn't). Clean and

Loved everything about our stay here. Really friendly and helpful staff who are all a credit to the hotel. Room had great view across to the lake. Large comfy bed, loads of storage space, hot and powerful shower, huge bath towels and more. Would definitely recommend evening meal at hotel. Food cooked to order so served fresh and hot. We had soup followed by scampi and rump steak. Very filling, very tasty and very reasonably priced. Bottle of cabernet sauvignon also went down very well! Breakfas
