  I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, wonderful choice and quality of breakfasts. The owner, told me he used to own a fish restaurant so that's obviously why the fish dishes are so perfect. Modern, bright up to date bedroom with a fabulous power shower. I have stayed at many B and Bs in this area and this surpasses the lot (and it's a lo... vad folk säger » t cheaper than many of the others) Great location. - Great location. Safe and easy walk to both Windermere and Bowness. Food was unbelievable. Huge choice and excellent quality. Dining room is modern and there was a good atmosphere at breakfast time. Staff were efficient and friendly. Our budget room was clean and cofortable. Perfect for our stay. Limited parking on the premises but lots of free and unrestricted parkining across the road.

  The room was lovely and clean and despite its small size, had everything you needed-TV, dvd player, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner,coffee- making facilities. The bed was super comfortable and the room was kept clean throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious-we had both the "breakfast in bed" and cooked breakfast options and really enjoyed ours... vad folk säger » elves. Ideal location as well and nice and quiet in the evenings so you can get a good night's sleep after a day's walking. - Leigh, the owner, was fabulous she was very accommodating, beautiful accommodation. Fab location, within walking distance of two towns. She covered all the bases re local information and was fab value for money. We didn't fancy full English so continental breakfast served to our room was a lovely treat and included in room price, lovely touch. We will be visiting again.

  The hotel is in the perfect location if you want peace and quiet but also to be within easy walking distance of the hustle and bustle. The room was very clean, had everything we needed for comfort.   My partner and I stayed at The Ravensworth 24-28 March and all i can say it what a lovely hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It was my birthday during the stay and after a day out I returned to find a card and gift from the owners. A lovely touch. Excellent accomodation. - A nice warm welcome on arrival, clean comfortable room, excellent full english breakfast, staff were attentive but not intrusive and very well mannered, also useful was the information given in room for local places to have evening meals which we found very helpful.   We were met with a pot of tea and cake which was lovely after our journey. Paul was very helpful re things to do in the area and lots of info on local walks etc. The room was small but had everything we could possibly have needed and the bed was so comfortable! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I also found that the recommendations of places to eat and sites to see were superb. I would definately stay again and strongly encourage others to do so. An all round excellent hotel which is perfect for a stay in the beautiful surrounding area.

  Worth every penny - a fantastic small hotel It snowed heavily during our stay and the staff even cleared the snow from our car - We stayed in the Bowness suite and it was beautiful, we could not fault a thing at this place, will return soon

  Roz and Garry made my husband and I feel very welcome.The break was to celebrate my 50th birthday,we couldn't have chosen a better place.The hotel was very clean,bed was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing,good value for money.We will go back again . - They are very friendly and you will be really enjoy to stay in this guest house.

We were treated like family. Quiet and comfortable location. My husband had to do a business conference call late at night to work with people in - The property is very well maintained , comfortable and warm. It is ideally situated as a base for visiting the area.The welcome and attention from Dick and Sue was second to none . They were both very friendly, helpful and definitely added considerably to our enjoyment of our stay in the area.We stayed with elderly parents who have limited mobility and they were made very welcome .The stairs to the rooms on the first floor presented little problem to them.We have no hesitation in recommending

  Staying at Beech House has totally restored my faith there are guest houses that go beyond anything a hotel can offer. Maureen was so friendly, warm and inviting we just did not want to leave. The room was cleaned daily, the breakfast cooked to perfection and early check-in was not at all a problem. We would definitely return! - It's the best place I have stayed ever. Very kind and thoughtful staff. We brought our 1.5 years old for a leisure weekend. When we arrived the room, toys and a trolley have been prepared for her. The breakfast was wonderful. My wife and my daughter were really happy during the stay. Best place ever!
