the hostress, Phillipa (hope I didn't wrongly spell her name) was very kind. She welcomed us with delicious tea and cookies, and provided us some milk and cereal when she heard we had to catch up an early train and would miss the breakfast - hmm, the breakfast was quite good here. The room was clean and cozy, enough space and we even saw a deer outside the window. Overall it was really nice stay, I could understand why this guesthouse could get such a high rating.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like old friends as opposed to guests. The hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility offering warm and very comfortable, quality interior accommodation . We were also shown the superior rooms, which were beautiful and would pay the extra money to stay in one if we go again. - Sara greeted us with a lovely coffee and biscuit as soon as we arrived. A personable, professional service. The hotel was so clean throughout, you could eat your meal off the floor! Breakfast was great. Our bedroom was beautifully and tastefully decorated. My boyfriend and I went for a romantic, restful weekend and that is what we got. We will definitely go again!

We loved our stay at the Boundary. We went for my wifes birthday and loved everything about it. We stayed in the Hobbs room with a 4 poster bed and gorgeous bathroom. The staff and owner were friendly and extremely helpful. All in all I highly recommend staying here and we will definately be back in the future.

Everything about the Hotel is first class. From the moment we checked in the staff are so friendly and very professional everything was excellent. this was our first visit to the lamplighter we were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we arrived with our 2 cavalier dogs who were made a big fuss of we also were asked if we wanted to eat in a separate room so the dogs could be with us which we declined as they are more than happy to stay in their sleeping crate .the breakfas

The innkeepers were charming! The hotels rooms newly decorated and the
kingsize beds very comfortable with lovely pillows. The breakfast was
also particularly delicious, with fresh juices, Greek yogurt with berry
compote for example. They accommodated well for special vegetarian
requests, even going out for veggie sausage for us for our second
