  The breakfasts were excellent and we could come and go as we please.Room were big and comfy and the location of the hotel is very nice.   I cannot rate this hotel enough. We stayed a few weeks ago after deciding to show some American friends our country. We drove down to Whitby from Lichfield and booked a two room aprtment at the resolution hotel. Firstly we arrived early and this was no porblem. we were given insturctions ove rteh phone to the local car park and also had our bags t... vad folk säger » aken from us and taken to our room whilst we slipped away for some lunch. when we arrived back we were blown away by the view from our extremly comfor - We stayed at the resolution for valentines night and we can't fault it at all. We got a very good deal on the room which made it amazing value for money! We stayed in a double room, which was beautifully decorated, very clean and extremely well stocked full of toiletries, drink making facilities, fan, hair dryer, safe etc The view was amazing!!! A gorgeous out look of the bay and the abbey over the roof tops of Whitby :) The staff were lovely and the breakfast was fabulous!!! 10/10 we would rec

  The couple who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful it has a real cosy family feel to the Europia. We woke to the smell of bacon cooking downstairs (the best alarm clock in the world) and when We went for our breakfast we werent dissapointed we had a full english breakfast which consisted of bacon egg sausage mushrooms tomatoes beans+ toast,... vad folk säger » there was also cereal tea coffee + orange juice. - we only stopped the 1 night but the staff were lovely. they were very helpful by allowing us to leave our luggage before our room was ready, they gave us good directions to where we were trying to get, and at dinner we were served with a smile and nothing was too much trouble

  This YHA is in the most amazing location next to the incredible Whitby Abbey. The property itself is very old and still maintains the charm and many features of its glory days. The property has immense character and I wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was fine for 4.99 and they also offered dinner options. Highly recommend Whitby YHA. - All staff were really helpful and friendly. Restaurant staff great fun.Only had breakfast but a brilliant choice. The Hostel is in an outstanding location, good for parking,the building itself is full of history without being stuffy or pretentious. Also you get free entry to the Abby how brilliant is that!   Everything at Prospect House and Whitby was perfect ,the proximity of the transport connections and town area was just right-close without being in it.   You were made to feel welcome from the onset, all the facilities were pointed out immediately with tea/coffee offered, which was a very nice touch. The accommodation was very clean with an ensuite, you weren't bothered unnecessarily but help was at hand if required. Breakfast superb. Nothing was too much bother and we left our 4 day break feeling refreshed and very satisfied.

  In our opinion this was the best guest house we have stayed in. Our room was very comfortable spacious and clean and the towels were changed everyday. There was a fridge on our landing and the owner Sheila put fresh milk in there in case we didn't like the milk in our room (Have never stayed anywhere else that did that). There is also a lovely lounge downstairs to use with a very large comfort - Michael and Sheila were very friendly and down-to-earth. We were made to feed very welcome and everything was to a good standard and very clean. The breakfast was very good too. Whitby itself has everything you could wish for from a friendly seaside town (British weather permitting of course) and it is particularly dog-friendly. There are lots of food outlets to suit every budget. Shopping is excellent. Will definitely be going to Whitby again!
