Sitting out on the patio. Also having afternoon tea outside, looking out onthe view of the Cotswolds. Relaxed friendly hotel .Excellent breakfast and a la carte evening meal with attentive service. The entire experience, although only there one night. Particularly enjoyed the evening meal. Excellent all round service from pre dinner drinks to breakfast the next morning. This is a beautiful hotel and great restaurant. The location is ideal. Good food, good friendly atmosphere. Very pleasant staff. Staff very friendly and helpful food excellent. The warmth and friendliness of the staff. We had a standard room which although was small opened onto a little court yard which was ideal for you little toddler to run around in. The bathroom facilities were excellent which included a bath for the little one. Also the cot was organised when we arrived and a high chair was available for us during breakfast. The food from room service was also excellent - of a very high standard! Well worth. Clean room, heat turned on, smooth check-in, excellent bar and restaurant, cheerful friendly helpful staff. In all, a great country hotel experience. The friendly, polite and attentive staff made the stay most enjoyable. Good central location for exploring the cotswolds. All the staff were very friendly, and very attentive.
Excellent service was given at all times and the food was superb. very friendly staff. clean comfortable room. good bar.nice breakfast.A lovely hotel to stay at. The hotel itself, the food and the staff.Excelent food and service. generally excellent staff; helpful, polite and keen to make us feel like guests. breakfast and dinner outstanding. wifi facility a welcome bonus.Dinner wasn't great....Otherwise, fantastic hotel. Good food and pleasant surroundings. Being so close to Stow on the Wold, but feeling as though we were out in the countryside. comfortable hotel freindly staff always very helpfull. The staff and the food. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was exceptionally good with a sensibly chosen menu using very fresh local produce, imaginatively cooked and presented, at reasonable prices. There is a lovely walk across country from the hotel to picturesque Upper and Lower Slaughter. ( The hotel might make more of drawing attention to this. ). Fosse Manor is in such a scenic location and the hotel is just gorgeous. Great for a romantic weekend away.Good food, nice situation. the view was excellent the bed very comfortable, it was nice to have a normal size tv. staff very professional and friendly. It was very pleasant, food in restraunt was very good and staffvery attentive. Clean, modern room - as was the rest of the hotel.
Excellent food.Quiet annex room, Breakfast quality. Peace and quiet, good food. The food was excellent. well presented rooms assisted with the nicetouch of separate seating for relaxing. Staff were extremely helpful without exception. a very comfortable hotel all round. Everything was catered for. bedroom was comfortable. Just the noise from the extractor housing on the wall outside my room. We stayed for 5 nights and the dinner menu did not change. However, they did accomodate me. I am very fussy about my food. The only criticism is there are no fridges in the stardard rooms. A slight minus but not a complaint: would like to see wireless internet access extended to the rooms.room was cold and the wind came thro' the window frame! But we were supplied with a fan heater!. there is an odd booking system for the dining room presumably to stop everyone flooding in at once, which meant that on each of the two nights we could not get our preferred time.Ran out of water when showering in the morning. It is quite close to a busy road and it is important to get a room on the opposite side of the building. ( We asked for this on arrival and paid for a room upgrade.) The description on the website made it seem more off the beaten track than it is.Reception staff did not appear to know the area very well. However, the rest of the staff were quite conversant with the area and were able to offer itinery suggestions. Thought some of the waiting staff could smile more. evening menue very small and exclussive. Original roomwas noisy from kitchen vent. They were helpful in moving us to a quiet room. Room temperature was a little hot, although it was only 18c outside. The hot water supply was somewhat unreliable.Room size. Noisy fan. Heating inadequate. Room 21 was a little small and the chair a little low to spend much time working at writing area. It could be a bit too formal at times, which could make you feeluncomfortable. Myself and my wife could not get shower due to hot water problem. Hot water did not come out from the shower. I guess, capacity of the boiler in the Hotel would not be good enough . Most of people must need shower with hot water every day after long tour. I was disappointed that a staff did not resolve the problem for me.choice of menu limited and repetitive. Problem with hot water initially. The room that we were allocated was very poor and cold and the residentghost kept me awake because of this we decided not to stay the secondnight and we were charged for it even though we compained about thestrange things in the room of which they admitted existed.
