the polite staff. Location, very friendly staf , old English romantic , excellent food. the spa. Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Lots of personal touches - individuality. quality and warmth of the accomadation. Spa, Staff very helpful, Breakfast - good choice, comfortable clean rooms. In bathrooms nice shower gel and body cream and bathrobes, very clean everywhere in the hotel - relaxed, prfessional friendly approach. the friendliness, just like staying in someone's home. The comfort and liesure facilities. Willing and helpful staff. The bed was comfortable, the Restaurant was very elegant and there was plenty of parking space. comfortable room, good food, free Internet access. A fair attempt at a boutique hotel. went to a wedding. Well organised wedding. Convenient and fine for a short stay. Disappointed that the pool was not in use as the information indicated. the shower was of a poor quality. Air condition -room tempreture control was not working - but staff brought to my room an electric heater! In bathroom no ear buds, or hair conditioner. The cost of the restaurant menu and not being informed on thursday whenasked if we would like a table for dinner that it was on a 2 for 1 basisthat night if we had known this then we would have stayed for dinnerthat evening instead of going elswhere. Clearing away of used crockery and cutlery was slow. Our room was bit cramped as it was in the roof space and walking around the bed several times I hit my head on one of the roof beams, also the water heating in our room (and the room next door) was very noisy. The invoiced room rate was £20 higher than the booked rate. It was adjusted after I pointed out the difference. The hotel is situated within Sittingbourne just of of the high street. Sittingbourne itself does not enhance the hotel but it is surrounded by landscape grounds. Lack of porterage for cases. The Bedcover in our room was stained. The window was high up on the wall, making it very difficult to open. We complained about the noise of constantly banging doors, to be told that it was the waiting staff going to and from the kitchen. Why are there no silent returns on the doors?.
