  Perfect location for walking in the Dales, especially if you want to completely forget about wind/rain etc once you're done trekking. Food was excellent, good drinks selection and by far the nicest place to eat or drink in Settle backed up with great staff! Really spacious rooms, very clean and well furnished. - Fantastic staff, really friendly, ... vad folk säger » accommodating and easy going, nothing was a problem. I arrived late, just when the restaurant was about to close. No problem, "have your shower", which I did, and my fish and chips were waiting for me when I came back down!

  Was nice and quiet which was a bonus after the Xmas mayhem for relaxing. Staff and food were excellent. Room was very clean with a lovely view. Last stayed here 19 years ago and enjoyed my recent visit as much as I did then. - Very friendly and helpful staff. relaxing atmosphere. Good food. Room and on-suite excellent.   Wonderful spot to stop overnight while travelling from York to the Lake District. Nick and his team are so friendly and helpful. Food is very nice, produce very fresh and good quality. Some great ideas from the chef. By the way, the place does not have a microwave so no precooked supermarket stuff you get in other places. A wonderful surprise at great pri - The host was one of the most convivial. polite and helpful people I have ever come across in my travels. Nothing was too much trouble. The premises had recently been renovated and were clean, bright and tasteful. However the real showstopper was the food. I expected traditional Yorkshire stodgy fare, but what we were served beat the socks off an expensive French restaurant in Edinburgh we had been to a few nights ago. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and its restaurant.

  A lovely hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble and a fantastic breakfast. The owners, Paul and Jenny Reynolds are incredibly focused.
