Located in the town centre, only minutes away from the beach, railway station and main attractions, The Falcon Hotel is set within a Grade II listed historic building.
Welcoming guests all year-round, whether it's for a short break, holiday or business trip, the hotel presents itself as the ideal base for your stay in Scarborough. Within minutes walking distance are The Stephen Joseph Theatre, Spa Complex and the town centre, as well as a Shopping Centre, Cricket Ground and Bowling Centre.
Although the hotel's central location means that they are close to the main road route around Scarborough, it is fortunate to be set back from this in a small grassed square.

that it was joined onto an excellant italian resturant.brilliant location, excellant price. the hotel was a very friendley family hotel, the owner and staff were nice and looked after us very well.after reading a few of the reviews i almost decided not to go,but i am glad i did.Room 11 was top notch and the service from reception could not have been improved upon. Very friendly staff, understanding and helpful. Freindly staff,Location, excellent food. The lady on reception was very helpful about parking, as this can be a big problem on bank holidays and the hotel is very central for all amenities. Convenient location , clean hotel obviously recently decorated to a good standard.Value for money. The room was pleasant and roomy, the staff are helpful and friendly. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely bedding, comfortable, spacious.good location. Convenient location to station where I was picking a colleague up on thefollowing day. The rooms, bathrooms and meals were very good. eavening meal at restaurante. central location. welcoming, freindly and amenable. close to attractions. good location hotel staff pleasant. locality of the hotel. reasonable quality of accommodation for the price.Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good location near to shops andrestaurants and near to beach. It was in the town centre. that it was close to the town center. Very little. It was only only somewhere to sleep and have breakfast for one night. The breakfast wasn't really a full english breakfast it just seemedquite small like a childs breakfast. unfortunately the view of the hotel from outside does not do the inside any justice. single room was small and as room was at the top of the stairs and next to the fire door to the corrider to other rooms, i was woken both mornings by the maid who was cleaning the rooms going backwards and forward slamming the door and each room she changed the sheets were chucked outside my room and they kept banging my door, which made me feel unconfortable as was still in bed. no ensuit. difficult to get internet connection. Internet not available unless standing on 1 leg with laptop balanced on head! Couldn't do work needed for next day which meant that I had to leave before 7am to prepare for a meeting....... in a MacDonalds!. Nothing about the hotel but the noise from the seagulls due to singleglazed windows was horrific it went on all night incessantly. Not enough wardrobe space, cleanliss (smell) toilet.climbing the stairs to the 4th floor. Lack of en suite. Because we arrived late - even though arranged with hotel we were not originally shown to our rooms and we could not find them. We were tired when we arrived and were exhausted by the time we found our rooms. booking in we were told shower was not working, next morning another couple came out of the room that was intended for us, we were moved into this room that afternoon.the hot tap on the wash hand basin turned off opposite way you ended up getting scolded when you tried to turn off the tap. single rooms small. cleanliness could have been better and the decor has seen better days, wallpaper coming away from ceiling. and a tv remote that was actually for the television.quite noisy on an evening. room warm and stuffy as windows did not open. noisy at night ,but this was mainly seagulls .Although breakfast was of a good quaility and will served ,it was spoilt by being cold. We were not told that restaurant and bar were closed for refurb. We never saw anyone in reception except when checking in. Room was nice but minor irritating things wrong - shower not working properly (no instructions), various bathroom fittings loose eg toilet seat! No fault of hotel, but location was noisy from late night revellers outside. Highly unlikely we shall stay there again. The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, alot of noise fromoutside the hotel, would have helped if the windows had been better - nodouble glazing. The Hotel ceiling had a hole in it. there was no bar apart from the resteraunt underneath which was hardly ever open. The beds were old and 1 broken no remote 4 the tv a small and grotty place were most of the residents lived there courtesy of the dhss also there where no curtains just broken blinds the noise of th seagulls were a nightmare. Shower with no hot water; toilet with no whb - you had to go next door into bathroom to wash hands. Bed frame held up by bricks!. Street parking 1/4 mile away, noise from pub next door and street until 4am exacerbated by lack of double glazing. We had originally booked for 2 nights, but fled after the first night. After explaining our disappointment and attempting to reach a compromise they insisted on charging us for the 2nd night. We will be taking this up with the hotel. Tatty and poor quality accomodation,. New receptionist was not sure what she was doing. She gave us wroung information regarding scratch card parking and we had a parking ticket, which we then had to spends 2 hours sorting it out and we are still not sure if we have to pay or not. Shower was disgusting (needless to say we did not use it). There was a bench right outside a fire door so blocking the exit, reported this to waiter.
