  If, like me, you live in the south & want to visit Scotland Moffat is a great stopping place. The Black Bull is a very old Scottish coaching Inn. Very friendly staff, biker friendly (like all of Scotland) great pub food, clean rooms with TV, tea & coffee facilities & a good WiFi signal, fantastic power showers, everything you need for ... vad folk säger » your jump into Scotland. The breakfast will keep you going almost all day. Two recommendations, firstly have the steak & ale pie and second try to - Comfortable and clean. Food good. Friendly staff and lovely dog!! Old world charm downstairs and modern rooms upstairs.

  Rural but not too far off main route. Eating places not too far away. Host and hostess very attentive but not intrusive. Very hospitable. B&B very tastefully converted and everything you would need was to hand. Super afternoon tea upon arrival and breakfast choice excellent and beautifully cooked. Speciality porridge excellent. It was nice that we had a lovely lounge and tv area in which to unwind with wonderful views. Lovely bathroom with shower and plenty of hot water.Fantasic breakfast cooked to order. Overall a lovely homely place to stay. We would definitely return.

Most people I spoke to didn't even know about the hotel and would have stayed there if they had known - Ease of access to Motorway if stopping off on the way to the Highlands.   Everything. The Staff attitude, Room 41, the building and in particular or meal which was probably the best I have had in the UK for years. I have not had chance to read the web reviews yet. - Rooms were good and spacious. Staff very obliging, and quality of food in restaurant was very good.

  A wonderfully comfortable, friendly and welcoming place to stay with great views and access to the quaint towns of Portpatrick and Stranraer for the ferries to Ireland. - We loved everything about it. The owners were so nice and friendly, the food was delisious and the room was so crisp and clean. I would definatly go again.
