Very Dog friendly, very welcoming and attentive to all of our needs. Tea and cake in the afternoon of our arrival was a nice touch. Central location made it handy for shops, high level of cleanliness and top spec furniture and fittings. Good beer!

The cooked breakfast was excellant.

Very cosy and well situated for our week of activities. We were impressed with the extra details such as the welcome facilities, tea, coffee etc and the bathroom towels were very luxurious. The cottage was very well equipped and spacious which made our stay very comfortable. -

We got this as a late deal which made it great value. Unsure what normal
price would be but large comfortable rooms in a beautiful historic
building with great facilities. The evening meal was superb probably one
of the most enjoyable meals we've ever had. Was here whilst on
business so was a very brief stay but would have loved to have been
there for the weekend.

We wanted a real good value pub as a walking base for the weekend, we found one right in the middle of the lakes. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us - big thanks. The food was straightforward, good quality and great value. The beer was exceptional and again great value. We loved all the fires and so did our dogs. The rooms we ok, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. We will be returning again.
