  Lovely venue to stay, right in the centre of town opposite the old post office, a national trust property well worth a visit. The rooms were adequate but spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable, bed linen, towells very good quality white and clean. Breakfast was served in the bar area, quality and presentation good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. - 3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!

  The hosts were very friendly. Even though we were there at a very busy family time (two daughters birthdays) we were made to feel at home. Wonderful peaceful setting with exceptional country views.   I was half expecting a noisy room over a bar, but I was very wrong! The accommodation is housed in a discreet and newly built wing. The room was enormous and beautifully designed and fitted to a very high standard. The room I had looks much better than the one they use on their site, so reality far exceeded expectations. Parking was easy and the I... vad folk säger » nn is within quick reach of the city centre and station, or a suitable base for exploring Cornwall. - We were going on holiday to St Ives and decided to travel on the Friday night with an overnight stop nearby, instead of Saturday morning to beat the traffic jams. Arrived here to friendly reception at about 11.30pm with drinks brought to room. Rooms were smart, breakfast enjoyable, dining area had outside terrace with views and location was absolutely perfect for our travel plans. Would recommend to anyone doing what we did.

  Barbara and Stephen were perfect hosts. Barbara shared her wealth of knowledge about this part of Cornwall. Steve is a professional chef so every meal, breakfast or dinner, was first class and consequently we chose to have most of our meals there. Together they went out of their way to ensure our week long stay was perfect.   The Melvill Guest House was most comfortable, the owners most courteous and the breakfast set us up for the long journey home. It is well located for the beach, university and the shops in Falmouth - The friendly professional manner of the landlady was most welcoming after a 7 hour drive down. Boscastle itself still retains its character, history and natural beauty whilst m - From the moment we arrived, we were looked after really well by attentive staff. They took us to our room, carried luggage, explained the wifi and advised about booking a table in the restaurant. The restaurant was lovely, and though we thought we'd eat elsewhere at least once, we ended up eating at the Riverside every single day. The menu is great and varied, and the food is of high quality. Something for everyone.

  Really liked my sunny south facing bedroom with excellent en-suite bathroom. Exceptionally comfortable memory foam mattress (particularly important as I sometimes suffer with back pain). From this location you can walk to restaurants, the harbour, town centre and National Maritime Museum. Pendennis Castle is a 5 minute drive away.   We all had an amazing week, the staff were so friendly, the rooms lovely and all our needs were catered for! We will be back before the summer is out! - Warm and welcoming especially on a wet and windy September day. The host and hostess were absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.

  I thought the staff at Beachfield were very friendly and welcoming, and had a comfortable and relaxing stay there. The lounge/bar area was a nice place to sit and chill out with a drink, and the breakfast and service was really very good indeed.   Everything there was nothing that either me or my partner could fault. Oh expect the size of the towels but that is more of a prefrence. However apart from that, The owners were very lovely, and wonderful, making you feel at home.   I want to congratulate the owners/management for having an amazing team of customer focused hospitality staff. The staff at hotels can ultimately make or break any property and the team effort and attention to guests from the Port William is fantastic. That teamed up with a lovely Inn and tremendous location. The views from the rooms are exactly as depicted in the photo. Rooms are tastefully decorated and comfy. We ate many meals at the Port William during our stay and all were of a high quality. This all contributed to a relaxing break.
