  Lovely venue to stay, right in the centre of town opposite the old post office, a national trust property well worth a visit. The rooms were adequate but spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable, bed linen, towells very good quality white and clean. Breakfast was served in the bar area, quality and presentation good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. - 3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!

  We booked a suite and it was worth every penny, great views great room great breakfast. We had a swim and had the pool to ourselves its a little dated and in need of some TLC but you would have to be a real winger to complain about this detail. The lifts worked fine but we opted to walk up the tastefully decorated stairs. Breakfast - Stayed for a weekend in February 2013 and we enjoyed every minute. Hotel very welcoming, clean, nice and warm. Restaurant is mega quirky and a joy to relax in. Leisure area utilised, sauna excellent combined with dips in the pool (Which was a bit fresh!) The breakfast was - delicious. Plenty of choice to be had both hot and cold. All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will book again without hesitation!

  I was half expecting a noisy room over a bar, but I was very wrong! The accommodation is housed in a discreet and newly built wing. The room was enormous and beautifully designed and fitted to a very high standard. The room I had looks much better than the one they use on their site, so reality far exceeded expectations. Parking was easy and the I... vad folk säger » nn is within quick reach of the city centre and station, or a suitable base for exploring Cornwall. - We were going on holiday to St Ives and decided to travel on the Friday night with an overnight stop nearby, instead of Saturday morning to beat the traffic jams. Arrived here to friendly reception at about 11.30pm with drinks brought to room. Rooms were smart, breakfast enjoyable, dining area had outside terrace with views and location was absolutely perfect for our travel plans. Would recommend to anyone doing what we did.

  Bra läge i fina omgivningar och nära stranden. - 2** rating... not really.. like all the other reviews it was more like an easy 3***.   Det mesta var bra med detta hotell.   The location of the hotel although being outside the main centre of newquay was ideal as Tolcarne beach was on the doorstep. On arrival we were allocated room 9 which is probably the pick of all the rooms due to the lovely balcony overlooking Tolcarne Beach. The hotel is spotless, as are the rooms with soft clean white towels and comfy beds.   The skill of the staff was immediately apparent as we arrived and our suitcases were quickly delivered to our room without fuss whilst we checked in. Unobtrusive yet always there is the hallmark here and we were waited on with charm and humour throughout our stay. Food is also outstanding so it's hard to imagi - The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and courteous during our stay.   From arriving to leaving everything and everyone was excellent.The golf was very good (though rather slow, following a ladies friendly match). The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and was so quiet, particularly at night allowing for a good night's sleep. All the staff without exception were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. This greatly enhanced the experience of our holiday.   We loved the atmosphere, the breakfast was perfect, the bed was very comfy, location and history added to our time there, did I mention the food....surf and turf needs renaming but was just what I ordered, sticky toffee pudding although not homemade was smothered in clotted cream and was spot on, all in all we felt relaxed after a long flight and ... vad folk säger » long drive, Carlsberg was clear and fresh, bar area was as advertised but chef should change the oil as it did smell like a chippy on sunday but other - We always stay at Jamaica Inn when we are en route to St. Ives - which we have done in all seasons and in all weathers. The setting on beautiful,wild Bodmin Moor is romantic and atmospheric but extremely handy just off the A30. Warm and cosy inside, Manager Steve and his staff always make you more than welcome. Rooms are comfortable and squeaky clean and you can be sure of a very good breakfast the next day!

  The Hotel is within walking distance of the centre of the town, but far enough out to be quiet. I enjoyed my first stay there so much, Ive revisited 3 years in a row. Although I havent made use of all the facilities, they do have their own laundry, indoor and outdoor swimming pools.   The hotel has a fine location on a height on the outskirts of St. Ives, reached by a very narrow driveway. Our room had a spectacular view over the coast and town. It was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel makes it a good base for walking along the North Cornish coastal path. We would certainly return to the Ga - Everything. It has a lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I would describe our stay there as a five star experience from a three star hotel. Whilst it may not be the cheapest place to stay, you gets what you pay for and with this hotel you get a lot. St Ives is a magical place to stay and this hotel just is the icing on the cake.
