  The hotel was very clean; the room was of a good size, well furnished and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and above all honest.   What a delightfully quaint hotel. I love these kind of places much more than your usual chain hotel. The place was bursting with character and provided us with a delightful stay.We stayed in the Windsor room which was extremely spacious, cosy and had a lovely view of the gardens. The hotel is - The Landlady was very friendly and helpful as we had a large group of three adults and three children for which we had two rooms and she was very helpful before we arrived e-mailing me to ask how best to accommodate this group. The breakfast was really very substantial and did us both breakfast and lunch for the day. Lovely large garden which had a slide, trampoline and swing which the children played on for ages and really enjoyed. The house is located next to a pub but we did not hear any noi

  We booked the Innkeepers Lodge for an over night stay when we went for a day trip to Legoland. We were not sure what to except as it was some if the reviews were mixed. But we need not have worried. We requested a family room with the single bed set up for our 7 year old and a cot bed for our youngest. The room was spacious and clean with a tv, tea and coffee facilities. - From the moment of arrival to when we left the staff could not do enough for you. We found it marvellous to be able to walk through from the rooms to the restaurant which had so much choice that it must suit every taste and very reasonable. The quality of the food was excellent, the rooms were very clean and nice and warm. We loved the Innkeeper's Lodge.   Apart from the beautiful surroundings and the hotel itself, the thing that impressed me the most at the Oakley hotel, was the attitude of the staff.   The owners are extremely helpful and want to make sure that you have a good stay. They even brought in a portable heater while we were out without us asking for it. The shower is fantastic and the beds are very comfortable. I slept extremely well despite being next to a busy road. The free WiFi worked very well indeed. There is a Toby Carvery and Harvester within walking distance for good value food.
