  We rented the 2 bedroom cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the room to stretch out..very relaxing. The kitchenette was well equipped, the bedrooms comfortable and the amenities exactly as promised. The supplies of wine, beer, drinks and snacks were thoroughly appreciated after a long day of travel from Scotland. Breakfast was amazing - delicious and h... vad folk säger » uge...come hungry! We enjoyed the stunning scenery and the peace and quiet that Blackthorn Farm afforded us. We would love to return! - The staff was extremely hospitable. They provided is with two pack and plays for our children. They only had one high chair, but they were willing to borrow a second one for us, which we wound up not needing. they were also willing to keep the kitchen open for us if we wanted dinner when we arrived. the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and newly renovated. we would definitely choose to stay here again whether for a longer trip or for just an overnight to catch the ferry.

  This was our first visit, but it will be the first of many. The rooms are lovely and all the staff are pleasant and helpful. The food was outstanding. The bar area was lovely; comfortable chairs that you could relax in to enjoy your drink. - Having stayed there previously, I knew what to expect and again I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.   The very friendly informative welcome. Luxury room. View from the Breakfast room. The breakfast itself. Location to local main street and restaurants. - relaxing stay with a little bit of touches which make you feel a little bit special. Loved the castle!!!

  Good value clean and basic rooms. Great communal lounge and kitchen areas. There was also a bike store where i could keep my bike and all the facilities you'd need for an outdoors based holiday. There was also an excellent relaxed bar on site (Paddler's Bar) which did really good food. I was a bit nervous going there on my own as a solo female but... vad folk säger » there were plenty of books/magazines there to hide behind until I got chatting to some of the other customers. - Really excellent value for money. We had a family room for 5 which consisted of two bunks and a single bed. En suite shower and toilet with plenty of hot water. Great cooked breakfast for £5 each. Excellent location just a couple of minutes walk from a lovely beach. Very friendly and helpful staff and generally a really nice atmosphere about the place. If you want comfortable accommodation at a good price, then I would give this serious consideration.
