Having just returned from a stay at the Harbour Inn, Porthleven. I would like to congratulate Andy, Gail and all the Staff for a very friendly and enjoyable time. Everything met with more than our expectations, from the standard of the accommodation and the food, to the service with a smile from everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was fantastic and the food very good indeed. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help. very friendly very clean wonderfull location we were made to feel very wellcome could not ask for more. The size of the room was really big, and it had a bath which was most welcome after a 5 day hike. Everything can thoroughly recommend this hotel for food and friendliness. Fantastic Location, Warm Welcome and Great Breakfast. Very nicely decorated and clean rooms, great location at the harbour, excellent breakfast :).Friendly staff, good breakfast, good location. cosy friendly hotel great staff. The Harbour Inn was very cosy. Nice large room and bathroom. Loved where it was right on the water. Not far away from places of interest to visit. The breakfast was excellent and the morning staff were very friendly. We did eat in the evening at the Hotel in the bar area and was very satisfied with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the waitresses. Location. Room quiet and peaceful despite being part of busy inn. Exellent breakfast.Staff were very friendly and onlt to happy to offer help. Friendly staff and spacious room. On the harbour front, good location. The friendly helpful staff. friendly and approachable. Room and View. Rooms at the front of the Inn have a lovely view over the working harbour. the spacious well appointed rooms. location at harbour front is nice. If I had to be picky our room was noisey when entertainment was on butthey did provide ear plugs nice gesture and music did finish by 11 pm. Quite easy to hear people in adjoining rooms talking and TV. menu could have more starters ,may be more choice, all thats there very nice don't lose that. Parking was a slight problem. Room we had looked out onto the roof of the kitchen... not a pretty sight. Did not have the option when booking to request Harbour View. On arrival had a notice on the door to go to the Lounge Bar to book.. had to wait for people to be served their drinks etc and felt a bit impersonal. Greeting was rushed as they seemed busy in the bar.Evening meal. Curry night was a culinary disaster. the room was rather small and with no view. Our evening meal which included a fish dish came too soon to be freshly cooked and wasn't very hot. Breakfast is not served until 9am on Sunday and advertised as only 30 mins before that on other days (in practice, a little earlier) though worth the wait, if one has time.very noisy! The room faced the smokers courtyard and until midnight there was lots of noise. Walls are extremely thin and we could hear every word spoken in the adjacent room. In addition, a mystery machinery provided constant 'tumbling' noises...
