Once used as accommodation for the English army during the Jacobite uprising, Cuilcheanna House overlooks Loch Linnhe towards Kentallen Bay and the Isle of Mull.
Views of the loch or hills can be seen from each room at Cuilcheanna, which also include an en suite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities.
A hearty full Scottish breakfast is served in the dining room, with vegetarian options available on request. Staff are happy to make recommendations and bookings for local restaurants.
An abundance of local wildlife can be spotted in the surrounding area, such as roe deer, red squirrels, seals and otters. The Glencoe ski area is the oldest in Scotland and is just a 30-minute drive from the property. 2 national parks can also be reached in under an hour’s drive.

Mary and Kirstie are wonderful hosts in wonderful location. The rooms are ensuite and very comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and fresh milk. The breakfasts are to die for and cooked to order, the is also lots of cereals, fruit juice and fresh fruit. Not only is Kirstie a wonderful host but she is also an oracale of local information and constantly provides very useful advice based on her own experience. Cuilcheanna House is in a wonderful location, you will not regret staying here!. alla recensioner »
The family that run the hotel were excellent. The reason for the trip was my husband had an emergency operation on a umbilical hernia while walking the West Highland Way. I found the hotel on the Internet very late at night. What an absolute find. My husband was very well looked after when he arrived until I arrived a number of hours later having travelled from Hereford. The room was lovely and breakfast was fantastic.
Good clean nicely decorated rooms (loved the wallpaper in Skye).
Well signposted and easy to find
Helpful hosts especially recommendation for eating out, helping with booking and money off voucher!
Great location /views
Lovely breakfast with pre-notified dietary requirements catered for (coeliac).
We had a delightful stay. Very good sized bedroom, great bed, delightful hostess and they had a very friendly dog. Beautiful views, good WiFi and a great breakfast in the morning. Kirstie was very helpful with some side trips for us to take. Would stay here again.
The location was beautiful with stunning loch views. We were made to feel very welcome and the attention to detail by Kirsty and Mary was especially nice. The bed was the comfiest of our whole tour, as was the delicious breakfast, and the room was lovely.
Kirsty the owner was very welcoming, breakfast was delicious and served very quickly and with a smile, our room overlooking the Loch was beautifully presented with good quality sheets, towels and pillows. Perfect location.
Everything was liked at the Cuilcheanna, clean rooms, good facilities within the rooms, very good breakfast.
Superb location, quiet and good scenery. Would recommend to others. Kirstie and Mary were excellent hosts.
This hotel is situated at the side of a Loch, the scenery is fantastic, this is a really friendly and welcoming hotel. I would most definitely recommend it and I will go back to stay there again in the near future.
The view from our room was stunning and the location perfect for where we were heading. The communal lounge was perfect for relaxing in sans our 13 month old. The owners dog is friendly and loves to be pat.
Everything! A lovely warm welcome whe we arrived and Kirsty the owner a very helpful, friendly lady ,nothing was too much trouble. The view was 'to die' for and Brodie the black labrador was just adorable!.
Fabulous view from room, extras like home made biscuits, sweeties, water, fresh milk, etc made the stay special. Top class breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Kirsty very friendly with lots of local knowledge.
This hotel is located in a truly beautiful spot. Nice and quiet but with good eating establishments close by. On the shores of a loch and with mountains in the background, had a very restful stay.
Immaculately clean and attention to detail in the room, very friendly
hosts, welcomed with hot drinks and biscuits, very tasty, full Scottish
breakfast. Large room with lovely view.
Wonderful location on the shore of a Loch, not far from Fort William. Very kind staff, nice clean room, good breakfast, working internet, fair price. Overall, I was very satisfied.

This house is beautifully located. It's well run by a family who have been there some years. Recommended strongly.
Everything was really lovely. The position of the house was wonderful and being so close to the loch was magical.

What a great loch view!.
Friendly.
Nothing.
Shower temperature erratic in morning, possibly due to number of other guests as appeared to be quite fully booked.
Some noise / conversations from other rooms audible.
Nothing.

Nothing to not like.
While the dog friendly attitude of the hosts would be a bonus for many traveling with dogs, the wee terrier staying at the same time as us, should perhaps have been placed in a room that was not opposite the main staircase, as he felt the need to "welcome" all the guests as we were trying to place our 13 month to sleep.
Nothing! Just a shame we couldn't have stayed longer or brought Brodie home with us. An all round delightful experience.
Nothing all good.
It's an old house, so the soundproofing of the rooms is poor.
Having to leave at the end of our stay. But we'll definitely be back!.
No hand rail on wall to help you get in and out of the bath/shower.
Nothing.

- shower was erratic and not a strong flow.
Nothing really.
Nothing, hubby would have liked a telly but view from the window was better than anything on a screen !!!.
I was disappointed that there wasn't a Holy Bible in the room.
Rien.
The shower was not very good.
I personally would have like to have a light bite in the evening available to me. Being on a business trip I would have liked access to a television in my room. I hadn't appreciated the location and may have been better prepared to eat before I arrived.
Everything ok.
Having to leave.
Nothing.
Would have liked more heat in the room than just the towel rail!.
You cant see the TV from the bed very easily.
Nothing not to like.
Nothing.
Could have had TV in room.
