  lovely hotel with exceptionally friendly helpful staff.Position close to beach in a nice quiet spot no road noise whatsoever. Room was big and breakfast was plentiful - everything, excellent stay, great surroundings, good food, friendly staff, very clean and reasonably priced.Plenty of sight seeing to do.

  We like our stay at Geckos Rest,from the moment we got no the car park,John was there to help with luggage.They explain where best to go and the place they enjoy dinning.They lend us an iron which was not in the package and even save us from having take away on my wife birthday after she lost a button from the middle of her dress.Well done to Amy ... vad folk säger » for doing her research because she had a sewing kit ready with every colour thread to fix this button and any other mending issues.The room was clean - Genuinely the best guest house we've ever stayed in. Excellent location, easy walk to newquay centre, fistral beach or other beaches. Accommodation is modern, very clean and lacks nothing. Breakfast was to the standard of any five star hotel that we've stayed in. The owners are very pleasant and cannot do enough to please.   We stayed at lazy waves for a couple of night, The owners was great supplied information where to eat and where to visit. Breakfast was excellent and nice and fresh dining area is very cosy. Our room was fantastic looking straight over at the sea they even supplied binoculars in the room nice quite road and there is benches just across the road an... vad folk säger » d you can sit there and take all the beautiful views in. If we come back to visit Newquay we would stay here.   Everything there was nothing that either me or my partner could fault. Oh expect the size of the towels but that is more of a prefrence. However apart from that, The owners were very lovely, and wonderful, making you feel at home. The property is kept really clean and the owners John and Kay are really friendly and helpful. We have now been twice and plan to return again in the near future. Oh and the Breakfast is spot on.

  Location was excellent, 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes from town. Stunning views of the beach and golf club from balcony rooms. Bed incredibly comfortable. Easy hotel parking too, for £10. Cheaper than parking anywhere else and can leave car parked up for the whole stay as everything in walking distance. Staff lovely and friendly. Bar was lovely for a drink in the evening on the terrace. - The ease of checking in,very friendly,helpful staff, great atmosphere / decor, great meals and great views.We have stayed in six other hotels this week,paying up to 50% more and received inferior service.
