The location was great. You could walk into the city for dinner without feeling you were in the city noise and congestion. The facilities were newly decorated, clean and had a fresh feeling. The historic house was filled with character and charm with a private gardens to walk around or sit with a cup of tea and have a sense of quiet escape. We stayed one night at Aylesbury house on our return from holiday. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden at the back of the house. The room was compact but quite adequate for one night's stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was nice attention to detail in the provision of toiletries in the bathroom. We were made to feel very welcome and the breakfast was wonderful. No hesitation in recommending Aylesbury House.
Aylesbury House was everything we were looking for in a B&B. Our host was very helpful and friendly, and helped us from getting a taxi to letting us know where we could find a great place to eat dinner. Breakfast was very good and a great start to our mornings. The room, while a little on the small side, was spotless and had everything we needed for a good nights sleep, and we has a lovely view of the back garden. Room #8.
It was a quiet place to stay, the owners were very friendly and it was a short walk to the city centre. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. It was a small complex so the owners had time to give individual attention and couldn't have been more helpful with local information and directions. The rooms were a good size and recently renovated with ensuite bathrooms. Wifi was free and available in all rooms.

The tasteful, uncluttered deco. The good quality furniture, bedding and fittings. The Fairtrade Clipper tea and coffee and herbal teas in room. Quiet, even though facing the road, with pleasant views of trees. Beautiful rear garden, enjoyed from the breakfast room, with the superb generous breakfast, yummy!.
It was on a main road, so it was easy to find, by car. A very well presented B & B. The breakfast room had a very relaxing view to a well maintained landscaped garden. Selection of food for breakfast was very generous.
Owner carried our suitcases up the stairs to our room.
This was a brilliant family run hotel. From arriving until our day of departure nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is only small which suited us and it was extremely clean and the breakfast was excellent. Would recommend and give it 10/10.
An excellent small hotel. Ideally located near to the town centre with my bedroom looking on to a large well-kept garden. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating, giving it the personal touch which so many chain hotels lack.
There was a very warm welcome from Paul and Nicola, the room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast each morning, looking forward to making a return visit.
Probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms small but stylish, staff helpful. Breakfast so fresh, red berries and real flat mushrooms (not together) would not hesitate to recommend .

handy for Dover ferries if you want to avoid problems on M25. bit of a climb bak if you wisht o walk into town. Great breakfast.
