  the hotel was superb, the room was very much a 'country house' style and was one of the nicest hotel rooms that I have stayed in. The breakfast was freshly cooked using local produce and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has been very tastefully decorated, the whole stay was absolutely brilliant!

  All our requirements were catered for. Early morning cup of tea and an evening meal if we wished. The breakfast was excellant and varied from day to day. I loved the peace at the farmhouse yet it was only a few miles to Tavistock. We were made so welcome. I did indulge in ordering a cream tea! Will be back again. Lisa also had a menu of extra little items that you court order from if you were not up going out for dinner. I can highly recommend her home made pasties.

  Everything! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was huge - more of a suite really - and was very comfortable. The pub itself was cosy and welcoming and it was nice to have the choice of eating in the restaurant or in the bar.We stayed 3 nights and ate at the hotel every evening - the food was very good and local produce was used. We would definitely stay there again. - This was a really well run and looked after inn. The very friendly and helpful staff made the stay enjoyable. This is well worth considering as a base from which to visit the surrounding area or as a stop off on your journey. It is close to the Granite way cycle trail and would be a good staging point on the Devon Coast to Coast
