  The hotel is a grade 1 listed building, set in wonderful countryside. The hotel staff are attentive and courteous without being overbearing. The resteraunt food was of the highest quality and well presented, as was the full english breakfast. Room 2's four poster bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Very clean and a comfortable bed and a wonderful breakfast. The Farmers Arms is also in a good situation for exploring the Lake District. Plenty of parking space.

  From the minute we arrived the frinedliness and helpfulness of everyone made our stay really memorable. Good food at reasonable prices.
