Although the room we had was small it was very clean and comfortable. The en suite was very small but adequate. The addition of a long mirror would be useful, especially for ladies. Helpful staff and a very good breakfast. Easy walk to the Bowling Greens set in beautiful countryside. Hotel served very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and room fortunately was away from noisy thoroughfare. Newly carpeted and new shower excellent.

Good food available in hotel basic but well cooked and presented and excellent value for money. Rooms good size and clean. Great friendly staff, lovely and clean, we were made very welcome even the locals in the bar were friendly, could not fault our stay, and a fantastic breakfast. Close to the railway station and the venue of the conference I was attending. Exceptional good value for money and an excellent breakfast. First expressions we weren't sure but once we went inside we thoroughly enjoyed our stay we'll recommended. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are spotless and the breakfast is good. The door in the first room we were allocated did not lock but when we explained this we were given a different room immediately. The hotel was situated close to a lake and close to some nice picnic and walking spots. the position & breakfast was very good a big improvement on a year ago. Nice hosts, good breakfast. Actually nothing. It's just a place to sleep in case of an emergency. The only good thing was that the staff was good and helpful. Because of our age (75+) the stairs were a bit of a problem (but we were only there for two nights and so we managed). No mirror above tiny washbasin. No loo roll holder or towel rails. Assume not finished off yet. Apart from hotels no restaurants in town except for Indian or Chinese. Friday and Saturday nights town seems to be full of drunks. the reputation that locals give the place, its unfair and they need to wake up and see they need to encourage business into llandrindod as its dying on its feet and will be a ghost town with their assistance if they carry on. needed a bedside lamp. very noisy generator system but only affected the room overlooking it. TV only had 2 channels. Road noise at night but we were in a town centre on a main road. Lack of shelving/storage in rooms but understand this is being remedied. Nothing really. en-suite a bit small but otherwise fine. Bar area had no character but did not detract from our stay. No towel rails or fixed mirror in the shower room. Noise, single glazing. bar area rather basic. Breakfast very slow, under-staffed. A bit noisy late at night. slightly noisy from bar. only two channels on TV in room !. The room and surroundings were very basic but you get what you pay for. Bed rather small but I am over 6 ft. Several flights of narrow rickety stairs, some traffic noise but not ridiculous. Noise from bar only on one night though. noisy .untill early hours above pub. It is more like a pub than a hotel and unfortunately the public rooms are a bit 'barn-like' and stark. There is no residents area to relax in and there are no comfortable chairs to sit on in the rooms. There was a lack of public transport and lack for every day places to eat. no beside table or lights(room 9) & bathroom so cramped you could not dry yourself without opening the door Also no drawers for clothes. Being above a pub and on a Saturday night the room was quite loud. breakfast floating in tinned tomato Juice. town dead most shops closed down not even a café open Sunday. Nothing was organised. Gives a very shady look. No proper reception. Access to rooms is very shady. Rooms though clean but were not Value for Money. Small, dark, entrance was basically a dirty bar. Even though I payed for my room, I went to another hotel down the road. Reception was closed and I had to check in at the bar. The man who helped me was however very friendly and cannot fault him at all.
