The suite was everything the photos and description promised it to be. The location is incredible with all of Bowness shops, pubs and fantastic restaurants at your doorstep. Also the pier to where the boat trips to the other parts of Lake Windermere was only a few minutes walk away, this meant that a car was not required for our stay at all. The

Bowness Bay Suites has an excellent location in terms of proximity to the lakefront and restaurants. The suites are very spacious, tastefully decorated and offer all of the necessary amenities and more (including a fireplace). These features made our stay very comfortable.

Modern but tastefully decorated with good quality bed linen.
Our room had a lake view and a nice big window.
Breakfast room was spacious and breakfast was cooked in an open kitchen which gave a great athmosphere.
Lovely little balcony to sit in the sun if you are lucky enough to get any!

Beautiful period house and garden located in quiet country lane with glorious walks into the hills directly behind. Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend.

started great with a parking space in their garage. Nice friendly meet and greet. we had our bags carried to our room which was nice. The owner made us some tea and brought it to our room also. The house has been lovingly restored keeping the original features,even the sash windows and shutters are still wooden. Breakfast was freshly cooked and hot. We would definitely recommend staying here to anybody.

The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was full and hearty. good enough to have a days walk on. he staff were only too keen to advise on what you wanted to do on your stay. - Breakfast was great and the owner was extremely friendly, very close to Bowness too. 100% recommended!! service - It was so close to to the amenities at Bowness that you could walk to shops, restauarnts, cinema etc with ease. It was literally yards away. The lake was further away but walkable. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We lovedthe fact that the hotel had a quiet policy, which excluded theaccommodation of children, and 'parties'. The views, the terrace and grounds over looking the lake, the space andold world charm, welcoming staff and we were fortunate to have a lakeside room. Nice to stay in on wet days when lounge available - The hotel was clean and modern, with fantastic views over lake Windemere. The staff were helpful, informative and friendly.
