  The B & B would be a little difficult to find without a sat-nav. It is situated close to the town centre on the edge of the ‘Bogside’. The place is a little oasis in a sea of apartment blocks. Once in the B & B you are given a warm welcome, offered a drink then shown to you room and the host will give you helpful advice and directions to p... vad folk säger » laces of interest in the locality including bars and restaurants. When pressed he can even give tips on really great places to visit further afield. T - Joan (who runs the B&B) was very friendly and accommodating. Joan went out of her way to make our stay very enjoyable and she was very helpful in providing a map and pointing out all the bars/restaurants/shops across the city. The B&B is very close to the city (3-4mins walk) and restaurant/bars are near by. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. All in all, it was a great visit to Derry and when we go back, we will return to Amore B&

  Our host John was an incredible person. After leaving Derry, I realized I had left my Ipad in a car that we rented the day before. The rent-a-car was closed for the weekend so we couldn't reach anyone for help. We called John that night to ask for advice and he did not blink to propose that he would get the Ipad first thing Monday morning from the... vad folk säger » rent-a-car and ship it us --and he did what he said! Great accommodation facility, great people! - Perfect location for access to Derry city centre, shopping centre, pubs, restaurants and attractions. Well-equipped kitchen and spacious living area. Cosy bed with effective heating and good bedlinen etc. a proper home-from-home. Sofa-bed was good-sized and comfy enough for our friend to stay (supplement paid).

  The owner of the establishment is very friendly and helpful. It turned out that my booking was messed up (but it was not his foult!) and instead of two nights I was booked for one night only. He offered me the second night in another, more expensive place run by him, at the same price that I had been prepared to pay while making the booking.   The accommodation is up a steep hill so although only a mile from the city centre provided good exercise. Owner was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much - Local sold across road good. 5 minutes to wall by car. Good service when we phoned to see what the story was with the booking.

  We can only say that this is one of the best B&B's that we have stayed at. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. We were given suggestions of places to visit both in and around Derry, and also a 'history' of the troubled times of this area that was as informative as any you would receive on a tour. For anyone who is travelling for an extended period - This is a lovely private home setting with secure parking. The hosts are warm and very inviting, and our stay was quite enjoyable. As with many b & Bs, our triple room was upstairs, but the stairs were wide enough to be managed. The room was clean, comfortable, pleasantly decorated, and had complete, modern en suite facilities.
