  Having decided to make a quick get-away down to London, we found Durley House, and what a find! Having stayed in traditional hotels in London where space is at such a premium, this made for a very refreshing change. The staff were excellent throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble.   This place is a gem - we stayed for two nights for a much-needed break and a spot of Christmas shopping. The location is ideal and incredibly quiet considering where it is. The hotel is in a beautiful building and our gallery suite was superb. The service was excellent and understated. The staff was kind and efficient. Complimentary wi-fi was a nice facility that you cannot find free in many hotels of this standard in London. Rooms were fairly large enough to stay and relax.

  The apartment that I got is very nice. It was the apartment 1, on 55 Draycott Place, ground floor.There is a big siitting room, a bathroon, and another toilette. The bedroom is perfect.   Beautiful, historic building decorated in period style including the retention of fantastic (but tiny) lift with manually operated cage doors. Staying here made me feel like I was a diplomat! Friendly, welcoming staff. Free WiFi in my room. Decent breakfast.   Lugnt och tyst - Excellent conditions, nice and quiet, great rooms - not very spacey butone has to keep in mind it's Europe and the hotel is the formerresidence of a former British Lord! Great location: close to Victoriasubway and also within walking distance from both tourist attractions(ex. Very friendly and obliging staff. - A truely excellent hotel (luxury townhouse style) that deserves its five star rating. It is a very central yet quiet hotel with loads of charme and friendly, helpful staff. There might be no sauna but our room was furnished with lots of taste and the marble bathroom might have been small but it was always squeakingly clean. We enjoyed our stay there a lot and can recommend it.
