  Location is excellent with loads of buses into the city centre but the local bars and restaurants in Leith offer a huge choice, plus the new shopping centre is only yards away from the front door of the hotel. It wasn't obvious that a buffet breakfast was included when I booked so this was a nice surprise too. The dog was welcome too, at no extra ... vad folk säger » cost. Excellent value. - I first booked at the Waterfront but found out that there was one closer to the city center when I reached Edinburgh and managed to change the booking. I was lucky they had rooms available and for the same price as well. Its called Express By Holiday Inn City Center.

  Had a fantastic stay in edinburgh malmaison, couldn't fault it, room was brilliant and staff very helpful. - Resteraunt service and food were very good, we had a lovely meal. Very freindly staff.

  Located a short walking distance (10 - 15 minutes) from the heart of Edinburgh, Craigmoss Guest House is very convenient for sightseeing, eateries, pubs and shopping. The owners, Harry and Isabelle are very welcoming, friendly and willing to share their local knowledge. The home cooked breakfast started the day well. On our arrival, seeing my husband had a disability our room was immediately changed to a first floor room from a second floor room, without even asking. Molly and Roxy the family dogs were adorable and very friendly. We have no problem recommending and staying here again, fantastic.

  The owner was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. Best of all, I was never cold - radiator was more than up to the job of heating the room. Definitely stay there if I g - Rooms and public area renovated or kept in excellent shape with new furnishings; beautifully decorated. Host Bill friendly and helpful. Good Wifi. Instant coffee powder and milk generously supplied and replenished. In easy reach of centre, with necessities shopping, pubs and eateries nearby. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

  The most outstanding feature of Garfield Guest House is the staff, all of whom are friendly, flexible, and helpful. A close second is the delicious and generous breakfast, with locally sourced sausages and salmon, several menu choices each morning including vegan and vegetarian options. Within half a mile, there are a few takeaway restaurants, - Martin and Michelle were absolutely amazing! Really easy going and friendly. They went above and beyond to help us with our trip and to make sure we were comfortable with our stay. The breakfasts were great and they even made other guest's meals that weren't even on the menu!! They both work really hard and long hours and always have a smile on their faces. They made the start of our trip to Edinburgh.
