  I had a group of guests staying for my sister's hen do. The rooms were huge, very clean, excellent facilities and a very central location. I will definitely use this hotel again when I next stay in London. It also has a car park. - The best location in London.   trevlig personal - stones throw from the palace - truly in the heart of london. the rooms, the staff, the dining - everything was absolutely perfect. they have a sister hotel that is literally down the street, it is more expensive and a perhaps a little more grand - but everything is 'modernized' with a blackandwhite motif ... and that hotel uses ... vad folk säger » the restaurants at the rubens for their special packages. - From the moment we arrived at the Hotel to the minute that we left, we were treated like the most important people in the establishment. All the staff were polite, helpful and very friendly. I would definitely stay at the Rubens again, our room was recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. The room service was impressive and the food the best I've ever tasted in a hotel.

  When I realized that London hotel rooms are very, very small, I found the 9 Hertford Street apartment hotel. It's location is excellent: just off Piccadilly st., very close to Green Park underground station that brings you anywhere (including to and from Heathrow airport with the Piccadilly line) , a 25 minutes walk to Oxford st.   This is the best hotel I had ever stayed in London. It has all facilities a busy traveller needs including excellent free internet in the rooms and wireless in the lobby, very responsive staff, spacious and impeccably clean rooms. For me optional daily cleaning is a big advantage too - no overzealous cleaners desperate to clean the room regardless ... vad folk säger » of the don't disturb sign! - The staff were friendly, professional, and responded promptly to a couple of problems with my understanding of the air con and tv channels with good humour.   The room was wonderful but in part that was because I had 6/7 (both) access to myself. With only a small room on its own - even with an excellent bathroom - I would have found it too small for C21st expectations. On the other hand, the staff(a manager?) was wonderful, including letting me use the breakfast room to do some emails etc. and next morn... vad folk säger » ing breakfast was outstanding!! Yes I will be back. It was definitely as described and definitely not a flat pack chain hotel room. It's position in w - So many hotels are identical, and I stay in a lot of hotels! It was really nice to have something that was out of the ordinary for once, yet still in a good location (right next to Kings Cross station) and with functionality ... free wireless etc. A great breakfast, an extremely helpful and courteous staff, overall it made a very good impression.
