My two nieces an two children stayed in one of the family apartments. We joined them for a meal and as my husband has health problems, I was happy that we were not rushed when walking to the table! The food was delicious. I went to see the accommodation which was ideal for their needs. I would definitely recommend The Swan to friends and family. Really good pub food. Pub food, but really nice. My room was around the back, which overlooked fields, birds, cows and even a couple of deer. Breakfast was simple, but very good. I had a great nights sleep, very comfortable mattress. Good free wifi.
alla recensioner » I've stayed here a few times now, as it's a good location for Swaffham and Thetford. The food is always very good, pub food, but very good. Also, they make my breakfast as per my special request, with no issue. Very helpful staff. From the moment we entered, we were made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a great pleasure to see a hotel/ pub that let's dogs in as part of the family. Would definitely recommend. Will be staying again. James and his staff could not have done more for us; we felt like a king and queen with all the personal attention we received. Well done! You deserve to have a Les Routiers award for the quality of the food being offered. a very friendly welcoming atmosphere.nothing was to much trouble.the food was excellent, and because it was so nice, we never felt the need to go anywhere else during the evening. Stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment at the side of the pub. 3 working blokes with all the comforts of home.Self catering with towels and linen provided. Cleaned every day also !. Sound of the traffic and our neighbours arriving back to their apartment in the middle of the night and waking us all up. Very noisy lot.. Smell of cooking in room 3 coming of the extractor if you opened the windows. Might be a good idea to duct above the eaves this disperses it higher The loud music I assume from the kitchen drumming constantly in the afternoon Squeeky bed. Can't think of any gripes. Very close to main road and on a warm night with a window opened intermittent traffic noise kept us awake. They'd run out of ipa beer which we'd looked forward to and also had run out of marmalade at breakfast!. For older people, the bath was not easy to get out of, and the shower was only hand held, with no curtain. n/a. nothing realy but could do with shower screen/curtain round the bath. N/A. TV reception in room was intermittent. Could hear people chatting directly outside room on and off till quite late. No TV signal in the evening. I have no dislikes. needed an area for residents to relax in. u nless you sat at the bar there was nowhere. Would have preferred a shower in the room rather than bath. Insects in room. Tv losing its picture. Tv didn't receive adequate signal to work room 6. Nothing. Flies in the dinning room at breakfast. Hard to locate. to close to road so noise was a problem, campers tents to close to our window, address dont come up on sat nav.
