I would like to highly recommend this wonderful b&b. From the moment we arrived the staff were just fabulous. Friendly, helpful and always smiling. We stayed in the ground floor executive suite, and it was just lovely. The room was beautifully clean and comfortable, with ample space. Added touches like the bowl of fruit, complimentary toiletries and a little fridge, together with a well stocked tea/coffee making facilities, just made this lovely countryside gem all the more special. alla recensioner » Staff were welcoming and friendly with a good knowledge of the local area. Nothing was too much trouble. We were always greeted with a smile and felt very comfortable through out our stay. Room was very clean and we were provided with lovely toiletries and always had plenty of hot water! Fish night was good value and the food was fantastic, this was also true of breakfast. Tables for evening meals were always available for guests and staff enquired as to whether we would require a table for tha. Excellent in every way. The staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. The food is very high quality and made and cooked freshly with local produce. Although I did not have my dog with me, I understand there are two rooms available for well behaved dogs. It is situated very close to Norwich and towns near the Broads and the seaside, yet out in the country. We loved the Marsham Arms everything was as we had read from the reviews. Food was exceptional, service was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again, but would make sure we were in a larger room with no night time noise!. The food was excellent value and well served and presented. The staff were all very friendly and helpful towards us. The grounds were also very good, which also offered a private parking area for resident guests. Staff were very friendly & accommodating given we have 3 children & a baby. Our room was very small ( I think it was no. 21) At night there is a continual humming/whirring noise, which I believe comes from the refridgerators below, If you are a light sleeper, this is quite annoying. Not applicable. Can't think of anything. Walls a bit thin: noise from next room. Unfortunately we did have an issue with the overhead emergency light above our bed. It was so bright we really had trouble sleeping. Also there was a constant on/off of an air conditioning fan, really not conducive to a restful nights sleep A great shame for the room was excellent the above issues were why I marked the facilities as only good and not excellent. Although the rooms were clean and comfortable we did think that £130 for one night in a family room was a bit expensive. Not sure if its linked to the fire detection system but there is a green LED in a sensor or emergency light in the ceiling which was really bright and somewhat in-your-eyes at night. Some opaqueness to the LED would make a big difference. There was nothing that we couldfind falt with. Shame we happened to be next door to a room occupied by three children as they had laud voices and they stayed talking until after 3 oclock! We had to knock on the door 3 times during the night asking them to be quiet. Breakfast on our first morning was somewhat dried up as though it had been kept hot for sometime although the fried egg had obviously been freshly cooked. The place was hard to find as we had not been provided with the number of the 'B' road The Marsham Arms Inn was to be located on and we drove around Hevingham a couple of times looking for it. No soap in en suite but used shower gel so no problem with this oversight. NOTHING!!!!!!. Nothing. Nothing to dislike as long as you don't expect an 'olde worlde' coaching inn atmosphere. The rooms in the annexes are modern and will disappoint if you are looking for character. No electric shaving razor point in the bathroom. our room was next to the function room and Saturday night music lasted until midnight, but business is business. Nothing. n/a. As it was a 'hot' weekend it was noisy with windows open. Nothing. Dark bedrooms, on busy main road couldn't walk outside easily. Having to go to breakfast in the rain!. Booking thro letsbookhotel.com.Mix up over dogs being able to stay asked for ground floor room in application but they didn't get that info. Phoned before left the dog room plus dogs £200.00 as opposed to £135.00 left dogs at home. Location. I think there has been a change of chef since my last visit and the menu is now more pub food than gastro pub but the food was still of an acceptable quality and good value. Food ( dinner) was not good. Little for vegetarians and overpriced. Only had dinner the once before going elsewhere. The main road was very busy. Exterior noise in our room. Nothing!. Nothing. Party til 12, so noisy and could hear people in next room. Broadband a bit hit and miss in the rooms and no phone signal.
