Liked the little extras provided - cotton buds, cotton wool balls and room spray in the bathroom. Mugs, not silly little cups and plenty of milk. Breakfast cooked to order and no cueing for a toast machine !! Friendly and obliging. The hotel was easy to find, within easy walking distance of the centre of Harrogate. The welcome was friendly and information was given about local amenities and attractions. The hotel was very clean and breakfasts were good.
alla recensioner » Alexa House made us very welcome and the breakfasts were first rate. It is an easy walk into the centre of town and there was good parking. The room was warm and spacious and well maintained. It was excellent value for money. Good location near Harrogate town centre, free parking round the back. Love the design and lay out and staff very friendly. Didn't sample the breakfast as stayed in bed ! Would definitely stay there again in future. Very close to Harrogate shopping centre and plenty of restaurants to chose from for your evening meal. Very good choice for breakfast in guest house our host was very informative of area. The room was small but very clean and everything was high standard.Bed and pillows a bit hard but I did sleep well. Breakfast and service superb.Love that everything is locally sourced. The room was nicely decorated, modern and very clean. location was good. My room - even for a single - was very small. Was a bit surprised the entrance hall was a bit drab in contrast to the room,a musty smell.I am sure there are plans to improve in that area. Nothing. Bathroom needs a revamp although adequate. Shower had poor pressure. The stairs! My grandma and mother also stayed with us and was allocated the top floor twin room. This could be mentioned at stage of booking. Room was a bit chilly in the evening. room 3 was quite small, however, it was at a reduced rate for a single so good value for money. Room a little small. The god awful noise coming from the bathroom pipes in the morning!!! What was it??. nothing at all to complain about. I can't think of any!!. Water pressure to shower. Wi Fi not working. Very small room. Room was small and very hot .The ensuite was a cupboard with a tiny bath , very cramped and too hot for comfort .Weather was hot .Needs a fan or portable AC but very little room . Room 14 very small room considering the price paid. The shower needs updating, water was very slow flowing and trickling out of the shower head making it very difficult to get shampoo out. Breakfast was lovely however not sure that it was worth the price paid for the room and breakfast. Asked for sausage and eggs for breakfast and only got one sausage, I wasn't specific in the number of sausages I wanted but would have expected more than one. woman was very rude and upset some other guests over breakfast by refusing to serve them for being 10 mins late.
