Cosy hotel. Lovely views / great location on the waterfront. Value for money. Very friendly staff. Great bar downstairs. great bar at night. the thai food was exellent that we got for dinner that was free with hotel. and great staff. A very comfortable room which had a settee - most useful as weather was atrocious. The staff had clearly made a considerable effort to make the hotel comfortable.alla recensioner »

Meal in the hotel (Thai) was excellent, room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast in morning (buffet style) great with plenty of choice. Excellent would definately use hotel again. The hotel had a lively night life but we heard nothing from our room! Also a great breakfast was included in the price!. Excellent and particular value for money - good food. Will be staying again. we stayed there for one nite and spent the nite in the bar it was lovely. large clean room, comfortable bed, good meal package. food was excellent nice friendly staff. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were most welcoming. Good food with a wide menu selection. In all, excellent value for money and will be coming again. the staff were excellent the room was lovely and the cuisine was top notch for the money paid. will definately be useing the hotel again thank you. The staff were very helpful and friendly. the hotel was very nice, clean, the room was great and the food was fantastic. I would have liked a full english in the morning but apart from that all was fine. I would say that this hotel is very good value and a short walk from town with fine seaviews along the leas. Friendliness of staff, best lounge/bar and sun terrace in Folkestone, great location next to walks and beach, restaurant with good food in hotel, comfortable breakfast. Fantastic room, very friendly people, superb little things which was a very nice touch, chocolates, bottles of water etc. Friendly staff, very good value for money, lovely food. Great bar. Queit room. Easy access to Leas Cliff Hall. neat and comfortable. Good service. Friendly Staff and Excellent Food. The staff. The free meal offer. Staff are really friendly and the location is great.......for me a nononsense hotel that was great value for money! I will go back it wasfine. If you expecting £120 worth of room for £50 then you will bedisappointed but if you are realistic the hotel is great.Ample supply of hot water and a high pressure shower. After 7 hours cycling in the near freezing cold, and over two of cycling in the dark, getting warm and cleaned up was very important. Really handy for the front, staff were friendly. Lively bar and Good selection of continental breakfast choices. From our room we heard no noise from the bar downstairs. Polite and courteous staff. Friendly helpful staff and well kept rooms. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Good location for somewhere to stay overnight within easy distance for an early morning ferry to France. Staff were friendly. Room had all you needed for stop over hotel. They made a breakfast box for us to take as we were leaving before breakfast was served.Staff were friendly on arrival and made us feel welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Ideal location, no far from the beach and main town. Would stay at the hotel again. Friendly welcome, excellent bar service during evening. Food was good value. Room was warm and the bed was comfortable.Location of the hotel was handy as it was opposite the Leas Cliff Hall. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and heplful. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Nice atmohsfere. the sea view and the bar. Only stayed one night. Not the best hotel in the world. The room was clean and practical. The staff were helpful. Location - directly opposite Leas Cliff Hall. Room quiet no disturbances. The hotel was well positioned geopaphically and easy to find. The in-house Thai restaurant was very good for the evening meal and breakfast facilities were good.Good location for good viewing but they do not have dedital TV so we can not watch F1 GP TV programme. Hotel staff were friendly, continental breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and welcoming and ready to deal with my bookingquick and efficiently. No. blankets on bed(needs up dating to quilts). On arrival had to book in at a very noisy bar which I did not like booking in like this and it concerned me the room would be noisy but was surprised it was quiet. No lift. nothing that I was not told about. bit noisy via bar music, till 1 am !. This hotel does what it says on the box. If you don't like walking up a few stairs; book elsewhere or pay for a higher grade room.the food was very bland not very good at all prefered the thai as it was before. We were warned before the time so no surprises - no lift (had to take stairs to 3rd floor); rooms are basic; music from bar can be heard in restaurant. hard towels. we order a early breakfast which was suppose to be left outside our room as we were leaveing at 6:30 am, it was not there, but since arriveing back we have recieved a cheque for £10.00 as compensation. which we accept and are gratefull, but would have enjoy our breakfast much more. People complain about the stairs....well if walking up three flights ofstairs bothers you then don't stay here. It never bothered me at all!. The stairs!. It was a bit odd that we had to pick up our key from the bar and as we arrived rather late we had to push our way through a crowded bar, it could be a bit intimidating if you were an older person or had a young family. Only drawback for me was having no lift. The breakfast choice was very very very small. Cereal, toast or croissant, a few small cheese potions and small pots of yoghurts. Fruit juice and tea and coffee.
Pitiful!. There was a used soap in the bathroom. No extras. All of my milks in the room were out of date so I could not have a tea or coffee. The yoghurt in my cool box breakfast was also out of date. No lift and we were on the top floor - good exercise though!. OK lot of stairs. The standard of furnishings and facilities was disappointing in view of the advertised refurbishment of the rooms. The lack of reception facility i.e. having to check in at the bar was unusual and unexpected. The room was cold and the radiators could not be turned on. My room was on the third floor and the stairs were very steep (no lift). The heating was off! The room was really cold and the bedding notsufficient and had holes in some places. The room was also extremelydusty - on the lampshades, under/behind the bed and chest of drawers. Also as a single person the room I had was much bigger than the one mytwo friends had - weird?.
