Eveything, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was superb and the rooms were beautiful, once we had figured out where the twon centre was it was an easy walk an we throughly enjoyed our stay and will deffiantely return. - Staff were excellent. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfasts.

Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. My room (no.9, with a private bathroom) was warm and comfortable, the radiator worked all right and just in case I was still too cold, I got an electric heater. The owner was so nice! One of the nicest people we've met!! Even though we were way past the Check-in time, an envelope with our key was waiting for us on the door. Enjoyed Alba House from the start with a lovely and informative introduction from Bolbo (am sure I've misspelled his name). Very clean and large for an adult family of three and the location made it easy to get around by walking or public transportation. We ran into places which placed restrictions on when you could arrive for breakfast but the Alba House didn't impose any of those which helped us get an early start.

Rooms and public area renovated or kept in excellent shape with new furnishings; beautifully decorated. Host Bill friendly and helpful. Good Wifi. Instant coffee powder and milk generously supplied and replenished. In easy reach of centre, with necessities shopping, pubs and eateries nearby. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

It's a lovely place with amazingly friendly staff! For the price you pbly won't find a more original B&B. It is nicely situated, though closer to New Town so that you have to walk a bit to get to Old Town. The breakfast is nice if you take the cooked breakfast. We'll stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh.
