  The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. We only stayed two nights and didn't have time to use the spa/pool but it looked really nice. You can ... vad folk säger » do it all from this lovely hotel - see the sights, do the shopping and relax - we'll be back very soon! - Very beautiful hotel in perfect location at the end of Princess Street and not far from Calton Hill. Ideal for romantic walkings around the top Edinburgh attractions. We spent there lovely 3 nights during Easter, everything was good, staff very polite and helpful. Beautiful room with all the expected facilities. I would recommend to everybody.

  Excellent location,Five minute stroll to the Castle .The bed was superb, very big and very comfortable.Excellent choice at breakfast.Staff very efficient. We had asked for discretion at check-in in order to surprise one of our party and they followed the request exactly.Would be happy to stay here in the future. - everything, we stayed half board t... vad folk säger » he food was fabulous, our room was just perfect for us, the staff we encounted were all lovely, friendly and helpful. we didn't use the gym and spa facilities but definately will next time. the location of the hotel is ideal and central for any visitor's needs.

  This hotel is like my view of an old hotel should be steeped in history and splendour. It was a pleasure the rooms are not modern although they do have the touches like the plasma tv and modern bathroom. Overall I would not change anything about the hotel it was perfect.   Central hotel, very comtemporary and the room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant staff were particularly professional and helpful. The bar food was good also. The hotel overall exceeded our expectations and we would definately stay there again - What more can you say when you give the hotel 11 out of 10 the hotel staff were very friend... vad folk säger » ly and nothing was to much trouble. The resturant served excellent food and wine with excellent friendly service.
