  Very comfortable, lots of nice touches in room like toiletries, face cloth, biscuits and fridge with cans of pop in it at 50p. Slept well with black out curtains and comfortable bed. Lovely cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Good free parking also. - Friendly helpful staff. A booklet in each room giving you more information than you can im... vad folk säger » agine.   Comfortable and full of old world character with modern facilities. Cromwell room is at rear of property where the neighbours are very quiet. Limited 2 hour parking outside but plenty of long-stay only a pleasant 5 minute walk away.CJs underneath where breakfast is served had a great atmosphere. Manager Josh and staff were friendly and helpful. If... vad folk säger » you're "picky" I'd suggest you find a national chain hotel and leave this for those who enjoy something a little different. - We arrived early to the surprise of the staff they handled this well to everyone's satisfaction. All the staff were helpful and attentive, the bar area is full of imaginative art, a passion of mine so a real delight to see. The breakfast was wonderful and really set us up for a long journey home. As we have family in the area we will be going back for other stays, especially as we will be able to take our two small dogs the next time. We can't wait.

  Great quirky place to stay. Terrific staff serving good beers and good food. Very handy for Gatwick (1st visit) or a handy stop over from the channel before driving north (2nd visit). Fabulous breakfast (although a bit slow) they made my wife a real fresh fruit yoghurt and I had a hearty calorie busting cooked breakfast with local produce. Peaceful surroundings in a lovely position overlooking lake. The staff were professional, polite and helpful.Breakfasts were very good....good menu choices and beautifully presented. Enjoyed peaceful and leisurely breakfasts. Evening meal was very good too. Restaurant was very popular.
