Situated along the rolling hills 10 miles north of Dumfries town, Boreland Farm features a variety of farm activities and animals. Free fishing can be enjoyed on the River Cairn (when in season), which is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the property.
An en suite bathroom is featured in each Boreland Farm room, as well as a TV & DVD player and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms have their own private access.
A full cooked Scottish breakfast is served each day at a time of your choosing. Staff can recommend places to eat in the local area, with many more available in Dumfries which is only a 25-minute drive away.
Guests can take in the farm’s 365 acres of pasture and rough grazing, which feature a flock of 550 breeding sheep include pure Beltex ewes and tups.

Beautiful setting and a warm Welcome. The rooms were spotless, warm and
comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to perfection in the farmhouse
kitchen. Best of all though were the owners who made us feel at home,
gave us a tour of the farm and let my 2 year old meet and (much to her
delight) stroke the animals. She was ecstatic (0: can't recommend

Although I was given a large family room with several beds and lots of room, I was only charged as a single. The room and family bathroom were as new, with thick towels, space to put bits and bobs, and hot water. Lovely breakfast in farmhouse kitchen.
The proprietors are so very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was any trouble. Although the weather during our visit was rather wild it did not detract from a super stay in a stunning location.
Peace and quiet, beautiful views, very comfortable room, lovely hot shower, breakfast that sets you up for the day, friendly helpful owners.
