I thought this place was wonderful one could moan about the traffic noise and the noise from rooms above but that's something to take up at the time. The service was so good nothing was to much trouble the staff where excellent , food great, local venison out of this world and above all the management really cared well done and see you soon. Been coming to this area for 54 years and now retired its nice to have found a new place of outstanding quality to stay. alla recensioner »
We loved the place, fantastic countryside setting. A very good Menu selection. Staff very helpul, friendly & polite. Arran Room which we stayed in was very beautifully furnished, with a king size bed. A very good night sleep and no sound from other guests. Hope to stay again on a weekend break. Thank you.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was fantastic. We had dinner there one night.
Very friendly staff, who offered to put some stew aside for me, so that I could have a hot meal, despite a late arrival.
Loved the suite - the bathroom and the food all excellent.
The room was spacious and well appointed.
The staff and owners were friendly and helpfull. Nia was especially good, efficient, good humoured and allround nice person.
This fact alone probably saved the holiday
The position for exploring the local area was very good.
Room was comfortable with attractive decor. Good bathroom, excellent shower. Good breakfast in attractive room. Staff very friendly.
Large, warm room good size shower room Comfy bed.
Excellent breakfast.
Attractive decor.
The staff.
The food.
Nothing.
Not a lot!!.
Our room was facing the road which was loud at some times.
The road noise was unbearable and didn't really sleep that well because of that.
The high temperatures ment windows open, making the road noise, so loud in the room, it stopped normal conversation.
The food and service on Sunday was at best poor, so much so we wondered whether we had done the right thing booking.
The meals on other days were much better.
It would seem under staffed, and stuggled in busy times.
No dedicated reception - on arrival we had to hang around in the rather noisy bar until someone was ready to stop serving drinks and attend to us.
Mattress too soft for our needs (back problems);not much space to hang/place clothes etc. Single glazing created condensation inside the windows and made it a bit cold as the heating had not been switched on at this time of year (although probably a listed building, so may be difficult to sort this out?).
No glasses provided for water No tissues in room No shower cap
Could only access itv on the tv No bin liners in bins Full Welsh
breakfast included sausage which had clearly been heated up from
the previous evening.
Room facilities-one arm chair, small TV not working,
Shower .Facilities not comernsurate with tarrif.
Room was basic for the cost.
Noisy room, no curtains, damp round window. During dinner and breakfast
we could hear chefs and waitress arguing about our order and swearing
due to it being an open kitchen. Lots of menu options ran out before I
ordered dinner which was very disappointing. Caravan in the grounds was
also an eyesore.
Location crossroads noisy. Too expensive, no value for charges. Poor breakfast.
